Zeta Prime was one of the Thirteen Primes and was the first bearer of the Matrix of Leadership from Transformers One.
One Film[]
When Primus gave up his own life to form the robotic planet Cybertron 13 beings emerged from his body. Those 13 being the primes who would work together to keep the planet safe and turned Primus into a godlike figure by shouting "for Primus" as a battle cry.
For eons he his brothers and sister fought bravely to keep their people safe from a sinister & mysterious race called the Quintessons.
Thousands of years went by and they kept their planet free but they paid for it with the lives of all bots who fought for them.
His heart grew heavy until his principal aid had stolen intel from the enemy their leaders were gonna meet and if they would be slain the terrible war would end once and for all.
After a long debate they decided to only risk 13 lives to end this war and kept it a secret and left to meet the traitor post haste they came across a cave and stepped inside.
The cave they approached was empty until from the celling hundreds if not thousands of foes flew down and attacked without mercy.
Knowing they were betrayed he and his fellow primes and in the words of Alpha Trion himself "although we were 13 we stood and attacked as one and victory and escape seemed possible until we were betrayed."
He was murdered in cold blood by the traitor Sentinel "Prime" he proceeded to gun down the other Primes however Zeta took a great and powerful secret with him to his grave for the Matrix of Leadership could only be welded by a bot deemed worthy by Primus himself and Sentinel proved he wasn't worthy of such a boon so it crumbled into rust until a Transformer proved himself worthy and became the last Prime.
