==Notes==

* Though it is a little tricky to tell the true meaning of Yukikaze's name since it is "spelled" in phonetic Katakana rather than Kanji, the most likely translation to English is "Snowbreeze".

* The Trainbots are all originally ''[[Diaclone]]'' toys, which came in two different color schemes. It's also worth noting that there are several mold differences between the ''Diaclone'' and ''Transformers'' versions. The ''Transformers'' releases also lost the Diaclone pilots (of course) and the little plastic tracks for the trains to ride on.

Revision as of 12:22, 30 May 2017

This article is about the Trainbot from Transformers: The Headmasters. For the starship from Beast Wars II: Super Lifeform Transformers, see Yukikaze (Vessel).

They're actually both looking for characterization.
Let's see what you can see...

This article is in need of images.

Specifics: Toy; train mode

Yukikaze (ユキカゼ) is the younger brother of the Trainbot leader Shōki. Cold-weather operations is Yuki's gig, and in the snow, there's no stopping him. Naturally, he doesn't like heat at all. So much, in fact, that it severely hampers his ability to work with Kaen, who apparently puts out a lot of it.

Fiction

No, really. HE WANTS TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE TRANSFORMERS.
I want to tell you about the Transformers!

This character article is a stub and is missing information on their fictional appearances. You can help Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki by expanding it.

The Headmasters cartoon

Voice actor: Ken Yamaguchi

The Headmasters comic

Yukikaze

Dreamwave Generation One comics

Yukikaze (or someone who looks a lot like him) was part of a big crowd of unhappy Cybertronians who made Prowl look really stupid when he tried to make a speech assuring them that everything would be okay after the collapse of Shockwave's supposedly-benevolent rule. Skyfire

Toys

The Headmasters

  • Yukikaze (Trainbot, 1987)
    • Japanese ID number: C-???
    • Accessories: "Snow laser" pistol, 3 "joint part" connectors, left & right Raiden "leg beam" cannons, 2 "leg beam" connectors
Yukikaze transforms into a Tohoku Joetsu bullet train engine. He also forms the left leg of the team's combined mode Raiden, though he can also form the right leg instead if you're so inclined.
  • Raiden (Gift set, 1987)
The entire Trainbot team was sold both as individuals and in a six-bot Raiden gift-set. All six toys in this set were identical to their individual releases.
  • Raiden (TF Jr set, 1987)
An exceedingly simplified version of the entire Trainbot team was made available as part of the Transformer Jr series. Each individual has a (stumpy) representation of their larger robot modes, and could combine to form a stumpy Raiden.

Zone

  • Yukikaze (Trainbot, 1990)
    • Japanese ID number: C-356
    • Accessories: "Snow laser" pistol, 3 "joint part" connectors, left & right Raiden "leg beam" cannons, 2 "leg beam" connectors
The Trainbots were re-released during Zone in new packaging, and only as individuals, never in a box set. The toys are identical to their original Headmasters incarnations.

Notes

  • Though it is a little tricky to tell the true meaning of Yukikaze's name since it is "spelled" in phonetic Katakana rather than Kanji, the most likely translation to English is "Snowbreeze".
  • The Trainbots are all originally Diaclone toys, which came in two different color schemes. It's also worth noting that there are several mold differences between the Diaclone and Transformers versions. The Transformers releases also lost the Diaclone pilots (of course) and the little plastic tracks for the trains to ride on.
