Chris's To-Do List

I finished the Japanese G1 episode pages, so the characters should really get some attention, starting with:

Probably do the Pretenders after that, and then, unpleasant as the thought may be, move over to Victory.

Sorry

I did not know that when i searched there was nothing about him. Saberconvoy

Madman Headmasters

I noticed you had asked for this at Seibertron, but it didn't seem that anybody there actually replied to your request. I asked a friend and he says when you play the first episode of Disc 1, after the opening titles sequence you get the episode title, then the episode itself. Does that help? I assume this means Madman's set is almost exactly the same is Metrodome's. --FFN 11:54, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Just a further note on this Chris in case you didn't catch it. I bought the Madman set and apart from properly synching up the English tracks to the two episodes that were way off, everything else is the same. Right down to other episodes' English tracks being 'slightly' off and (more annoyingly) the incorrect subs popping up in "Find MegaZarak's Weak Spot!!". You'd think two years would have been enough time to correct this gaffe, but there you go! --Jon T 08:44, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Titan Transformers comic

Do you know if any scans of the Titan Transformers comic are availiable on the Interwebs? I haven't found anything past issue 2 since Demonoid took down their tracker. --FortMax 17:05, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Various protected userpages

Could you delete the protected User and User Talk pages owned by the various trolls and possibly add the pages to the title blacklist? I don't really like the idea of those pages being kept around for posterity. (That rant by Walky's internet stalker on Walky's talk page is the exception to this, of course) --FortMax 20:19, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Crazy Idea

We've been doing stuff for the Energon cartoon called a 'Pain count' where we list stupid cliches and number how many times they happen in the episode. I've proposed doing the same thing for Beast Machines, with an idea from Walky being 'Episode jerk', where we list the character in the episode that the writers decided should be a jerk this week. I propose we do a Pain count for the japanese G1 episodes, as well as a 'Bizzarro RMT 1 dialogue' where we list particularly weird and amusing lines from the dubs. What do you think (because I think you're one of the only ones here with the DVDs...) --FFN 17:10, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

I would totally do the RTM 1 dub stuff, but I could only do that for HM, since the MF and V DVDs don't have the dubs on 'em. But then, that involves actually having to, y'know, watch them. :) I don't think I'd be much good at doing a "pain count" for the eps, though... it doesn't seem to come through in subs the way the Energon dub stuff does. Or I'm entirely too charitable towards them. Pick one. :) - Chris McFeely 17:22, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, okay, amusing dub stuff is more than enough :D --FFN 17:26, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Could you add the various user and dalk pages owned by trolls and their socks to the title blacklist? That way the pages won't exist and they can't recreate them. --FortMax 20:24, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Wreckage, Crosshairs-1 and 71.62.192.242

71.62.192.242 is signing his posts as Crosshairs-1. Crosshairs-1 is a user that Walky banned at the end of February:

20:56, 28 February 2008 ItsWalky (Talk | contribs) blocked Crosshairs-1 (Talk | contribs) with an expiry time of 3 months (account creation disabled) ‎ (Inserting false information)

His ban is not yet up, and thus he is evading it by posting without logging in. Hope this helps.--RosicrucianTalk 20:29, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

True, but aside from his stubborn attitude about the point, is there anything about the factoid per se that makes it unworthy of inclusion? I mean, maybe it'd require rephrasing, but total removal...? I'm just curious about the rationale, since the this guy isn't arguing in a fashion that seems likely to bring it up.--Apcog 00:02, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Monaco skin

Hi Chris -- I posted on the Community portal last week about moving this wiki over to the new Monaco skin. It's had some discussion, but nothing so far from the admins. What do you think? -- Danny@fandom (talk) 19:22, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm spamming

Canvassing a few talkpages here so we can get folks to weigh in and finalize the potential Wiki image policy. Your input would be appreciated at Transformers Wiki talk:Images.--RosicrucianTalk 18:33, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

God bless you, McFeely.

Thanks for semiprotecting the pages that got the template spammed onto them.--RosicrucianTalk 22:10, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

With new Animated episodes SO very close here in the UK, my window-for-being-spoiled is rapidly decreasing, and I'm growing exponentially enraged every time someone tries to chuck a brick through it. - Chris McFeely 22:13, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
I dunno about you, but certain users are starting to really rub me the wrong way with the constant edit warring on the Animated cast page and the constant calling us "hypocrites" when we don't let them add the maximum amount of their Dubai-leaked info to the page. It's like now that we've set limits on what can appear there, they're bound and determined to do the letter of the law so they can still look like savvy experts for having seen the leaked episodes.--RosicrucianTalk 14:03, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for clearing out the delete queue! It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling!-Derik 17:38, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

As long as your up- can you point me to a page that documented multiple stories in a single issue? Most of the Panni Armada run is like that, and I'm blanking when trying to think of a page like that to use as a model for 'em. -Derik 09:53, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Huh, I'm not sure if have any pages like that anymore. We used to have the Reaching the Omega Point/Primeval Dawn stories sharing a page based on the issues they were in, but they've since been separated out. Perhaps an article per story would be the thing to do. Hmn, makes me think about moving the "Transformers magazine" articles to the title of the main story. - Chris McFeely 09:57, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Hrm. Oh, I know! Tales of Earth!
Hhh. How... coincidental. I knew the title 'Deveices and Desires!' was familiar- it's a G2 story qas well... -Derik 10:03, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh yeah! That's probably a better approach, honestly, given the way that the Mini-Con back up stories sometimes weave in between and around the lead stories, quite unlike RtOM and PD. - Chris McFeely 10:06, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
It's weird to realize (as an American) that the G2 stuff was written 'UK-style' with a main strip and a backup. I never thought of it like that at the time. (The Panni format similarity is definitely a conscious aping of G2 though, complete with its own "Tales of...") -Derik 10:09, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Hey, you're across the pond, do you have Panni Armada #2? My scans omit the cover. -Derik 10:10, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh yeah, it's in a stack somewhere. The bottom of a stack. Touching the ground. Beneath the weight of several dozen good comics. I'll scan it later this evening. :) - Chris McFeely 10:12, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Yes well- I don't feel any particularly burning obligation towards the Panni stuff- but I've been a virtual non-contributor for almost a week, and no one else has shown the slightest inclination to touch 'em int he year since I put a link to the scans up, so...
Scratch that- I rather liked the ERTD stuff, but I already covered that.  :p -Derik 10:15, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
The G2 stuff really wasn't written like that, though. Apart from "Ghosts", you can remove the section/story titles, and it all reads as one continuous story. And if you read "Tales of Earth" by itself, or the "main" stories without it, you get a "story" that doesn't make any sense at all. -- Repowers 14:25, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Pacing-wise. Each issue has two beginnings, middles, and ends, even if they led into one another You cculd have published it fortnightly instead or monthly. That's all I'm saying- it gave the series a very different tempo. -Derik 14:41, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Animated

Do you like Transformers Animated?

Guess who I spent all morning repeatedly reverting?

Guess he didn't learn much once his block was up.--RosicrucianTalk 14:33, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Because if you won't listen to me, you'll damn sure listen to McFeely.--RosicrucianTalk 14:43, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
I ain't nobody's servant. Mr. Serious
Keep up that attitude. It'll go over real well when they ask you why you're reverting repeated attempts to fix your mistakes.--RosicrucianTalk 14:48, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
For Christ's sake. I choose not to go near the recent changes page to read up on the backstory of this and just give him a non-permanent ban, because I'm not hanging around here today on account of how I'll wind up having the Animated finale spoiled. Another admin can permaban 'im, if it warrants it, which it appears to. - Chris McFeely 16:11, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
I'm cool with it. If you whack those three images he kept untagging, we'll actually get the recent changes page back.--RosicrucianTalk 16:12, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Headmasters/Masterforce/Victory/Zone Audio Commentaries

Since I may never get to hear the audio commentaries on Metrodome's Headmasters, Masterforce, and Victory (and Zone) DVDs (which I'm sure I would very much like to hear), would you be so kind as to describe the stuff you talked about in each episode you did the audio commentary for? I'm not asking you to repeat everything you said, just a few summaries of most/all that you talked about in each commentary. Sabrblade 23:22, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Briefly, then. For Headmasters, I just did the first three episodes, so the commentaries kinda ran together as a general overview of the show, its Japanese origins, the differences in characters, some of the exclusive toys and what have you. Masterforce was a lot more focused - for episode 1, I talking about the origin of the show and Pretenders, the next was about the new characters created for the series, Japanese-exclusive toys and characters like Black Zarak and Overlord, and the "Big Book of Masterforce" secrets, and the last one just covered "everything else" about the series that I had notes about that I hadn't discussed elsewhere, chiefly Godmasters and HM Jrs. On Victory, the first episode was again, about the origin of the show and how it was so different from what was going on in the west, talked about the Dinoforce, Star Saber and Deathsaurus... the second episode was about the Breastforce and Greatshot and assorted random tidbits, and then the final episode was whatever scraps were left to talk about for Victory (not much), and a quickly overview of everything that came after Victory (because I didn't know at the time I'd be doing Zone, so I wanted to cover everything and have the commentaries be a complete overview of Japanese G1). The Zone commentary is... just basic Zone stuff. Where it came from, what the deal is, who the characters are, and what happened in TV Magazine afterwards. - Chris McFeely 00:25, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
The "Big Book of Masterforce" secrets? What kind of secrets? Sabrblade 00:42, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
It's not a book, it's a special episode.
(I have a subbed AVI from the fansubs that were done a couple years ago if anyone wants to see it. I suspect it's in the .torrent packs still running around.) -Derik 01:27, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
I knew it wasn't really a book, I just called it that because you did. Also, I hear you did the commentary on Scramble City for the Movie DVD. Could you describe that one too? Sabrblade 02:47, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I forgot to answer this. Scramble City commentary just had some basic stuff on there, about the origins on the OVA, Transformers series in Japan (as this was an independant thing from the Takara Collection sets, I may have repeated some info), where the Scramble City toys came from, how they worked, an' suchlike. - Chris McFeely 21:21, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks man. Oh, btw. Turns out I will get to hear your HM/MF/V/Z commentaries. My dad ordered the Boxed set from Ebay as a late birthday gift for me. I can't wait to hear all that you said. Though, I still won't be able to hear the Scramble City stuff cuz I see no reason to buy the UK movie DVD since I have the Sony DVD. Still thanks again. Sabrblade 21:38, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Unprotecting Animated pages

Hey Chris, you seem to be the only admin immediately around, so I was wondering if you could go through this list and unprotect all the Animated stuff, now that "A Bridge Too Close" has aired in North America. Much obliged... - Jackpot 18:53, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Fallen

Should there be a reference to what Furman said in the Fallen article? If he's in, he'll probably be a new character, so if we mention it, shouldn't be on the ROTF page? GWolfv2 21.59 26 July

Whut'd Furman say? -Derik 21:01, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
It's linked in the article! o_O - Chris McFeely 21:03, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Exact phrasing? Have to check the TFW comic com thing from yesterday. Basically he made a comment about the Fallen being in the movie when he was talking about The Thirteen GWolfv2 22.09 26 July 2008 (UTC)
It's already linked in the Fallen article. Click the little [2] next to the trivia note. - Chris McFeely 21:12, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, but unless it's supposed to be the same guy, should it be in a Gen article? GWolfv2 22.20 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh, right, right. Didn't get what you were saying there. I think it's fair enough to leave it there at the minute. We could put it on the movie article too. - Chris McFeely 21:26, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
So by "The" article you mean... The Fallen? RoTF? The 13...?
Also- fan clud writers have indicated that the 13 are multiversal singularities. Like Unicron and Primus- there's just 1 of them. (Has yet to be explicitly confirmed.)
(Why the bye, I'm doing some test work on a bot, since apparently Diagnostic Drone was killed by Monaco. Since you're the only admin around at the moment I should ask- is that alright with you? I don't plan to do any mass-editing without a bot tag to hide changes, just debuggery.) -Derik 21:24, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Seems fine to me. - Chris McFeely 21:26, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Woot. I've got some time-checking stuff done. I don't think there's more I can do (batching) without a bot tag (well, or being really obnoxious,) so I'm putting the 'bot to sleep for now. -Derik 21:42, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

You seem to be more active here than wikipedia

So I'll ask here: On both the Digimon Wiki and Wikipedia's Digimon page's, many of the plot summaries are straight from your Digimon Encyclopedia. Is this okay with you, or would you prefer that they be copyedited to be more "original"? I just wasn't sure if you had added them yourself or not, or I would have reworked them already.

On a related note, would you be interested in working on the Digimon Wiki? I've always loved your Digimon Encyclopedia, and a lot of the non-content ideas we could pursue to spruce up the site are things that you or other With the Will characters would be much more proficient in. If you're not interested, well, thanks anyway.

Cheers!KrytenKoro 07:13, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
