A kid's game

Does it seem to you that this wikia seems a bit too...casual? Jokes are littered all over the text and most notably, in picture captions. It's not bad or anything, just seems informal and uncomfortable. And it seems like my username carries over to other wikias, yet not this one. Would that mean this is not an "official side wiki?" Then again, my username only carries on two wikias...but I've only checked five wikias in terms of my username, not counting wikipedia itself...but the other one that doesn't have my username is definitely a strange branch of the .wikia.coms...though it is probably the best wikia I've ever seen. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs).

That... has been questioned over and over. The site is written in various required factor with relax style in captions and several articles. informal and uncomfortable? It depend on users' feeling. As for the username, this happens to me in another wikia few months before. That might be related to the system bug. --TX55TALK 03:19, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

I kinda enjoy the humor on this site, I say yes to humor, no to spoilers, false information, and using another user's ID, as long as It's not bad I don't have a problem with it.--Razorstrike 03:11, 2 May 2009 (UTC)Razorstrike

I think we should remove the funny nes on the page, If it stays, It will sound like a child has being messing up this place and Other people will think it doesn't make sense. Black rhino ranger 09:01, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

You're going to find yourself in the minority regarding this opinion.--Suzyprime 13:02, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Actually, Ranger, people are more likely to think this wiki "doesn't make sense" if it's edited by people who can't spell, conjugate, or use capital letters correctly. JW 18:37, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Sir, your erudite argument has at last shown me the light. I have been in error all this time, and you have turned the glare of knowledge against the darkness of my ignorance. Verily, we must all change our ways, and treat the stories about outer space robots that turn into cars as Serious Business. -- Repowers 18:20, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

But it is unencyclopediac. It looks like a two year old vandalism. 11:33, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for sharing your viewpoint, but, you are very much in the minority. If you object that strongly, start your own Transformers wiki and make it boring. --Steve-o 21:41, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Or just read the transformers entries on wikipedia. I'm also guessing most people don't like it when you call our writing "like a two year old vandalism". (Undecided) 03:10, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Face it! Not Everyone likes funny wikis. 15:25, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Since we're one of the largest, highest-traffic wikis on Wikia, I don't think the people who object to "the funny" are a significant enough constituency to force us to change.--RosicrucianTalk 15:27, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

If the funny is plural then why is it "The funny stays" and not "The funny stay"? Also... doesn't Mr. Serious realize that this is the kind of behavior that'll just get him banned again? --Detour 08:16, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
"The funny" is a collective term, like 'herd of sheep,' so its treatment will actually vary depending on use. "The herd is over there," or "the herd stays here" is correct, but "the herd are ewes" is clearly correct while "the herd is an ewe" is clearly not. Similarly, The Funny can be crap, but it cannot be a piece of crap, any more than the herd can be an ewe. -Derik 08:23, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

The users here don't have to add in the funny. Mr. Serious 21:51, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

They don't have to add it, but they can't take it away. Besides, you have to make several useful contributions before adding funny. Not to mention that you have to actually be funny. Felancer Prime 21:58, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

It's up to you how you want your wiki to look, even though you buthered a great topic. Chester Talk 13:18, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

The funny is staying, of course, in any way at any measure. It's always one of the unique style of the site. I know some people will say this is immature, stupid, juvenile, making the site informal, self-disrespecting (to the site) ...blah blah blah. BUT, the site is already formal since the Dinosaurs lived. Remove the funny? When the pig flies... and I'd consider, ya, only consider. --TX55TALK 14:04, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Well, the style would be unique if wasn't also doing it. Thus meaning you have two wikis doing the exact same thing, which is completely pointless and useless.
It would be in the better interest of this wiki here to do things differently in order to, well, differentiate itself from It would also help attract more editors, as those folks who like the funny have almost all left to Meanwhile, there are a number of knowledgeable folks who didn't contribute to the original wiki because they disliked the funny, who would be willing to come back here and contribute if this wiki now took a more serious bent.
Keeping the funny does you no favors whatsoever. -- 15:01, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
As it is, a lot of the time "the Funny" just seems to encourage random site vistors to try to add their own attempts at "humor" to the captions, earning themselves a "caption bastard" template. --Tetrap 01:59, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
Caption bastard isn't quite a problem. The real problems which the site is facing are those who don't know how to edit on Wiki system, those who were gave {{correctenglish}}, new page bastard, upload bastard/{{tagyourpics}}, or layout bastard. And last but not least, who don't know the rules/standards, such as scoop bastard, out-universe writting in the fiction section, non-official products, and those who post comments in the articles. These are the real problem what the site is facing. In short: Editors' quality. And I can't imagine what disasters will happen after the movie's premiere. --TX55TALK 03:21, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Tips on fixing this DREADFUL site

Moved from Talk: Main Page

Ok this site is really fucked up! Everytime I try to type something in on the search bar it refreshes the page. Also, I'm really pissed off about the funny things writen on thumb pictures. I want to see facts on them saying what the picture is about! The site despritely needs pages for toys. When I go to the toyline page and click on "Leader Class Optimus Prime", it brings me to Optimus Prime's profile page. I recommend you fix this. Another thing that must be fixed is the lack of information given to certain pages. I hope this has helped to fix the site, and I hope to see some changes soon.

NOTE: Do not reply to this comment as it is posted as advise, not a conversation! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by FawkesGamer360 (talkcontribs).

Heh. First off, nothing refreshes when I use the search bar, so your computer is messed up, second, THE FUNNY STAYS, and third, you have poor spelling.--KaotikusNemesis 22:55, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Dear sir or madam. This is a wiki. You may be unfamiliar with the concept, but everyone is able to make changes to a wiki simply by clicking on the "edit" link. This means that if you see something is wrong, you can simply fix it rather than spending five minutes complaining about it on a talk page. --Tetrap 23:14, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Well, you've got a point about the toy thing. I think the toy names should link to the character's toy article, not the actual character model. Teh lolz! BPL 23:33, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Whenever you have to type a lowercase T into the search bar, replace it with an uppercase T. The funny captions aren't going anywhere; you'd know that if you would actually read the top of this page, where it says THE FUNNY STAYS. There aren't pages for any of the toys, only small sections on the page, and that's how it's going to stay. There's nothing to fix, because nothing's wrong with that. If you want pages to be expanded, you have to take the reins and actually do it by yourself. You can't expect to be able to just sit around and tell everyone what to add to pages, you have to do it on your own. And honestly, this is a well-run site. Don't go calling a site DREADFUL unless it actually is. Thanks, Felancer Prime 00:08, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Neither. You're just not used to hearing a wiki sound like a real person, I guess. Felancer Prime 01:41, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen was the #1 movie of the world and this will also become the greatest wikipedia in the world.-- 10:44, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi. You must be new. We're meant to have bad jokes. There's a definite humourous tone to this entire wiki, and it's deliberate. As for the "#1 movie of the world" (sic), well, we'll see. Jeep! 16:50, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
Aaaah, but you see, therein lies the problem. Previously, there were enough rabid TF nuts to fill the wiki out with actual content on top of caption jokes. But now, as this trivia section clearly shows, the users that remain here are just dedicated to dogpiling unfunny "jokes" while not taking much care of ACTUAL content.
I assure you, your claims are greatly exaggerated. Xeno the Hedgehog 06:07, October 16, 2009 (UTC)

I'm sick of you people. If you don't like the jokes, suck it up and accept it. We're the ones doing the work on this wiki, and we like the humour, and every Tom, Dick and Harry who hasn't even bothered to register an account who thinks they can tell us to change it is getting on my nerves. THE FUNNY STAYS. Jeep! 00:53, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Cry me a slagging river! If you don't like the humor, nobody's forcing you to read it. Either shut up and accept it, or look for your TF info somewhere else, because if it's been said once, it's been said a thousand times, THE FUNNY STAYS!!! And don't you EVER compare us to that mockery of a database; Uncyclopedia is to wikia as The Asylum is to the film industry! Xeno the Hedgehog 01:30, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

But see, the jokes and captions are the tone set by the previous staff and editors, their sense of humour, their style, which they took with them to Given this wiki currently has none of the original staff or the regular contributors who wrote 95% of the content here, I would suggest this wiki find its own path and its own tone. It does neither wiki good if people regularly confuse one with the other. Hell, Wikia itself is already pushing you in this direction in the hopes this place will clean itself up to become the next Memory Alpha or Wookieepedia. --FFN 15:00, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

The Funny

I like the funny. So like loads of other people have said:THE FUNNY STAYS. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Darkraider09 (talkcontribs).

Two things

There are two things I want to say or ask about ideas.

First, the "God" thing. There has been some users delete any contents with "God" in it, such as "(Oh) my God", "For God's sake", "Oh lord", "Jesus!", since I take over the administrator. Some of them really need to go because they are not so "effective" (not funny nor annoying [I'm not saying we need annoying words]), while others are preserved.

And, I also removed most of the "[[Primus|God]]" which is not related to the story.

Second, about the "Funny". Some people might notice that I've doing something about it for months, such as:

  • I add normal captions for the newly-uploaded images as possible as I can.
  • Removing those not-so-funny

In my opinion, old funny can stay as long as it is really funny (on the other hand, I've add {{Excessivesarcasm}} for some pages, hoping some users can help clean them up); while the newly created page (most of them are from the Exodus), it should be as normal as we can.

--TX55TALK 04:50, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Hi there.
About the first part, I was taking "God" out of certain articles because 1) the places where He is mentioned are ussually taking His Name in vain, and 2) those little quips that I removed seemed to add nothing. This of course, doesn't mean I'm going to try to remove every instance of this; I might call a certain TF "god Ginrai" (not capitalized) but hey, that is the official name. Chopping his name down to Ginrai for some articles won't help anything, nor would removing "dark god of chaos" from Unicron or "god of thunder" from Thor. I'm just removing non-official parts that take The Lord's name in vain. That is why I asked about changing Help:Contents to "Primus' sake".
About the second part, there was one article were all the captions were a horrible mash of grammar and typoes. Some captions are misspelled (or blank). Some seem to skirt the PG-13 policy (like the picture for Beast Wars Metals manga Blackarachnia (BW). Going back to to the first point, some captions (like Tigerhawk's and Octopunch's first captions both take The Lord's name in vain). I've refrained from altering those captions per the wiki's rules, however.
Perhaps there should be a policy that every article with 2 or more images must have at least one "serious" caption.
ThanksYzz, Master of DOOM 14:39, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
Using "His" name in vain? I don't mean to offend, but people do that all the time. If "He" truly had a problem with it, I think he would have done something about it himself. Besides, do you honestly believe that "He" is vain enough to take offense when people use his name like that? and for that matter, there are some who believe "He" is actually a "She", and would take offense at your statement to the contrary. regardless, including the word "god" in our articles does little, if anything, to help or hinder their informative quality, so tell me, is it really worth it to make such a fuss over this matter? Xeno the Hedgehog 23:15, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
Xeno, just because someone does something "all the time" doesn't make it right. Adults drop the f-bomb in front of kids "all the time". By the "people do it all the time" logic, there should be guidelines to this wiki, for vandalism, plagiarizism, and R-rated profanity are all used "all the time". And what does my removal of "God" do to hinder or debase the wiki? I'm the one spending the time editing the articles. Instead of reverting my edits for no apparent reason more effort should be made to improve articles that are in need of fixing. Also, I didn't "make a fuss"; I just edited pages and placed one request on TX55's talk page. Every name, be it God's or any person's, represents the person it identifies. To disrespect a name is to disrespect the person who bears that name. And ,yes, it really is worth it.Yzz, Master of DOOM 23:43, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
Frankly, I don't see any problem to use "God" for some purposes such as exclamation, surprise, emphasizing. (So, it is not in vain.) In fact, I have many friends who are so religious that they even don't watch or read some fictions/films/television show due to the involvement of God, Jesus, or Angels and Demons. However, they do often use "(Oh) my God", "For God's sake", "Oh lord" a lot, no matter in conversations, writing, blogs, or other occasions.
Of course I know you won't removed contents like God Ginrai, that's why I only mentioned those such as "(Oh) my God", "For God's sake", "Oh lord". By the way, it is written "God Ginrai" and "Dark God" (capitalized because they are official name).
As for the blank caption, let's just fill it with a normal caption for now. --TX55TALK 08:03, June 23, 2010 (UTC)
Okay, you've got a point. I'll carefully consider before I hit the "save" page. Profanity with The Name, though, is gone as soon as I see it.
On another note, are there page that require the funny? And when/how can stubs like Slaarg or Tutonium cease being stubs?Yzz, Master of DOOM 15:22, June 23, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for your understand. :) As for the second note, I remember there are some pages require funny (such as Ruined FOREVER), but such pages are not many. Also, some pages like Ramjet (Animated), Broadside (G1), and Bonecrusher (Movie) are no longer required the funny and have been marked for cleanup. As for how to make a page destub, just expanding it and remove the {{stub}} tag. :D --TX55TALK 03:35, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
Hey. I'd just like to point out that some pages, like Chin, Nose, Jesus, and Frijole are pretty much useless joke pages. Also, perhaps pages like Tutonium and Slaarg should be folded into a single page.Yzz, Master of DOOM 23:43, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
You may find them useless, but the rest of us find them entertaining, similar to such pages as Scale, Kiss, Playskool, Neon, Trukk not munky, Pokeformers, Partformer, Shellformer, Bayformer, Dull surprise, Anatomic euphemism, and Ruined FOREVER. I've said it before and I'll say it again; we can't remove one such page without removing all of them, and we're not removing numerous articles just because one person has a problem with them. If you don't like them, don't read them. THE FUNNY STAYS. Xeno the Hedgehog 01:07, June 26, 2010 (UTC)
The problem is that Scale, Kiss, Playskool, Neon, Trukk not munky, Pokeformers, Partformer, Shellformer, Bayformer, Dull surprise, Anatomic euphemism, and Ruined FOREVER are all terms used by fandom or easily recognizable. Nose is already tagged for deletion. Frijole's page name is misspelled (it's either frijol or frijoles), and the chronology only details one episode in Energon. "THE FUNNY STAYS." Yes, I know. At what point did I suggest it all had to go? And hey, there's stuff that I find hilarious (like Dirge (Animated)) that have to be rewritten in a more "serious" manner in regards to the fiction/toy sections (because not everyone may get the liar Starscream joke). I love Death's Head, but I still think the Freelance Peacekeeping Agent should be deleted. The funny has its place, but still. Do we need an eyes article to detail the humanoid, visored, multi-eyed & compound varieties? Not really. But it would be neat. If the only reason an article is made is as a joke, it should be a blog post instead. Except for Blasty Zone. That page is awesome.Yzz, Master of DOOM 02:49, June 26, 2010 (UTC)
For eyes, we do have Sensors#Optical sensors, which was originally Optic but later got merged. As for the nose, I don't have particular opinion whether go or not. (So if someone want it go, just tag it with delete again; if not, anyone who want it stay should expand it with more formal standard and contents.) I tagged it with delete because it was originally much more horrible than what we see now. --TX55TALK 04:03, June 26, 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps nose and chin should be merged? Much like Bayformer is about the Movie designs, maybe a merged page for quirks in Animated's designs?
Another thing about joke pages is that they encourage overeager contributors to earn a "newpagenotice/1".Yzz, Master of DOOM 15:02, June 26, 2010 (UTC)
I don't really think the joke page is 100% related to those who get newpagenotice/1. Most of those users created normal page in horrible way, such as copy-past, plagiarism, incorrect English, nonsense words. In short, vandalizers or lack-of-experience users. --TX55TALK 15:39, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe you guys should just remove the funny entirely. You could be something unique instead of being, you know, a half-assed knockoff of TFWiki with fewer editors and less information. -- Semysane 02:13, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Semysane, the funny is an integral and refreshing part of the site. Do I find some jokes/articles offensive or pointless? Yeah. But the good bits outnumber the bad.
So...put down the chainsaw and listen to me, the funny is staying, alright? Dare to be stupid! The funny stays! Dare to be stupid! Humorless wikis are lame! Dare to be stupid!
Yeah.Yzz, Master of DOOM 02:27, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
Then switch to TFWiki, instead. Although, we use the name of God or any other fictional character however we like. -- Semysane 02:32, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
An attack on my faith? Isn't a personal attack a violation of wiki rules? If you're going to demand "professionalism", shouldn't you be giving an example? What is so special abot TFWiki? G1 Blurr, Monstructor, and The Beast all have funny on them. The site still has joke captions. It just seems to have a fancier main page. And ads.Yzz, Master of DOOM 02:42, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
I don't recall saying anything about professionalism, to be honest. About your faith, I admit that I spoke (er, wrote) without thinking, and I apologize for that. I tend to get riled up when someone attempts to force the rules of their religion onto people not bound by those rules, and when I get riled up I say stupid shit. As for TFWiki, it's better moderated, has more editors, has ads where WE want them, as opposed to where Wikia forces them to be. We also have pretty much the entire founding group of editors from THIS wiki, who jumped ship ages ago. -- Semysane 02:54, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I accept your apology. But I'm not forcing anything on anybody. If something offends me, I can either change it myself or ask that it be changed. And "...half-assed knockoff of TFWiki with fewer editors and less information." implies that this wiki is unprofessional while TFwiki is professional.Yzz, Master of DOOM 03:04, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
See, no, you can't just change things that offend you. What if I claim that the colour blue offends me? Does that mean I can go around and remove any mentions of the colour blue? Hell no. -- Semysane 07:15, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
I agree with part of your statement and disagree with another part. Just because one person finds something offensive doesn't mean everyone else should have to cater to their complaints; that's what pissed me off about the ignorant moron that accused Google of hosting child pornography because someone posted scanlations of Dance in the Vampire Bund. Use of the word "god" in a joking manner is not in any way a deliberate insult to anyone's faith, nor does it violate Wikia rules and guidelines, and thus there is no need to remove it from any of the articles. Like I said before, if you don't like it, don't read it, because this wiki belongs to everyone and the majority rules. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't this wiki exist BEFORE TFWiki? And aren't both sites hosted by Wikia anyway, making this whole "war of the wikis" pointless? Xeno the Hedgehog 10:36, June 27, 2010 (UTC) is not hosted by Wikia. exists because the community that originally built this wiki up got fed up with being jerked around by Wikia, so they took the content they had made and set it up on an independent server. -- 12:20, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

@Semysane: "What if I claim that the colour blue offends me? Does that mean I can go around and remove any mentions of the colour blue?" Except that the colour blue is a fact about...any character/object/place that features blue. By the same token, Primus and Unicron are identified as gods (depending on continuity). If someone uses blue in a way that has no impact on article's usefulness, go ahead and remove it. But you can't take out "Blurr is blue" anymore than I can take out "the dark god of chaos".Yzz, Master of DOOM 21:52, June 27, 2010 (UTC) @Xeno "Use of the word "god" in a joking manner is not in any way a deliberate insult to anyone's faith, nor does it violate Wikia rules and guidelines, and thus there is no need to remove it from any of the articles." Ok, but removing the word(s) doesn't violate the rules and guidelines either.Yzz, Master of DOOM 21:51, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, going by some of the wiki's guidelines, you could say that you are violating the neutrality policies. "Do not only one point of view, but all relevant viewpoints as necessary." "Gather facts from other perspectives or other points of view." This would seem to indicated that you can't just force Wiki articles to mesh with your own point of view and ignore all others. -- Semysane 18:48, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
"Do not only one point of view, but all relevant viewpoints as necessary." Then by wiki guidelines I'm okay. Because everyone else (so far) is pushing one view, and I am pushing an equally revelant view. "This would seem to indicated that you can't just force Wiki articles to mesh with your own point of view and ignore all others." Yeah, but unless we're talking actual info/quotes/or photo captions, nothing is off-limits.
And I don't see how taking out one word ruins the entirety of an article or how it detracts from neutrality. Also, neutrality only covers REAL information. Not jokes.Yzz, Master of DOOM 19:08, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
No, Neutrality applies to ALL content, regardless of its nature. Xeno the Hedgehog 23:19, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
Sentinel Prime (Animated) isn't so neutral. And you have to prove that any of my edits have caused a loss of neutrality in any article.Yzz, Master of DOOM 23:37, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
You are making articles inherently Christian, how is that neutral? -- Semysane 07:00, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Eh, no I'm not. None of the things I edited endorse Christianity. If I started putting in Bible verses & Catechism quotes you'd have a point, but I haven't, and won't, with the exception of my user page, or any talk pages I may leave a message upon.
If I hadn't elaborated, you or anyone would never have known if I were a Christian wishing that more people showed Him respect or militant atheist. As it stands, none of my edits promote any religion (or lack thereof).Yzz, Master of DOOM 15:38, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
You DO realize "using the lord's name in vain" is a distinctly Judeo-Christian idea, right? Other people don't usually feel a need to avoid using the name of a deity they don't believe in. You are editing articles to conform to the first and third commandments. How can you say your edits don't endorse Christianity? -- Semysane 19:49, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
My actions may endorse Christianity, but none of the text I have added or deleted does. Show me, explicitly & without invoking any data on talk pages, where in any article I promote Christianity.Yzz, Master of DOOM 20:14, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Your actions matter as much as your words, friend. -- Semysane 20:34, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
That they do. But without my words, neither you nor anyone else would know why I do what I do.--Yzz, Master of DOOM 20:50, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
And without your actions, this would be a happy, secular place for accumulating non-religious knowledge. -- Semysane 02:30, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
Please. As much as I would like that someone, somewhere learned something important about religion, there isn't any religious knowledge that I've posted except for the 2nd commandment waaay up there^ in the second post.--Yzz, Master of DOOM 02:49, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

This doesn't change the point that this is not your personal pulpit, and you don't get to force it to conform to YOUR personal beliefs. -- Semysane 03:05, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

I must ask, why do you continue spinning the wheels? Are you trying to get me to troll/flame you so that I get banned? And why do you feel that I must conform to your secular beliefs?--Yzz, Master of DOOM 03:25, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
No one is going to ban you since you didn't vandal nor have a socket puppet. And no one think you is a troll. In addition, you are not a user who doesn't reply after get warned — you are not even warned. :) --TX55TALK 12:23, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
Why do YOU feel that this wiki must conform to YOUR religious beliefs? -- Semysane 07:39, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
I hate to butt in, but Semysane, why are you arguing policy on a wiki you abandoned? --Tetrap 21:54, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
To try and prove that this ship is sinking and should be abandoned before it drags you all into the deep with it. -- Semysane 06:36, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
Have to say I'm with Semysane insofar as the funny goes. I mean, fact is, the vast vast majority of people who want to edit a funny wiki and have the knowledge to do a good job are busy over at TFWiki, leaving you with your current crop of few editors that are (judging from your Recent Changes) mostly doing a poor job. The only way this wiki's going to go anywhere is if you start making yourself unique. By removing the funny you will be distinguishing yourself from us and will be more likely to attract those knowledgeable people who currently aren't editing a TF Wiki because they don't like a "funny" approach.
Personally, if this wiki isn't going to be deleted or drop off the search results, I'd prefer it to get shaped up. But as long as you insist on remaining as a third-rate copy of us (since you're basically right now a funny TF Wiki but much more poorly maintained and with much, much less information) that's not going to happen.
I mean, if you're such a fan of the funny, I have to wonder why you're still here trying to bail water out of a sinking ship, Xeno, instead of over on a wiki that's currently thriving, healthy, and growing.
You guys are still hovering in the 7000 range while we just hit 11000 articles, and many of the first 7000 articles we share with you also have much, much more information in them now on our side. Surely this is a sign that you really need to start doing things differently instead of clinging to an approach that obviously is not working, yes? -- 00:46, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

The unfunny captions needs to go.

Moved from Talk:Main Page

Whats with these horrible unfunny captions? I'm looking around and they don't even give out valid information of what the picture is. I want to know what is going on in the picture or what the picture is about. I don't want to read unfunny bullshit. -- 12:40, December 2, 2011 (UTC)

Old stuff said before
In my opinion, old funny can stay as long as it is really funny (on the other hand, I've add {{Excessivesarcasm}} for some pages, hoping some users can help clean them up); while the newly created page (most of them are from the "Exodus"), it should be as normal as we can. --TX55TALK 04:50, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
This is how we do things here. If you don't like it, nobody is forcing you to read them. Xeno the Hedgehog 14:21, December 2, 2011 (UTC)

Actually they do tell you, hover your mouse over the picture and it will tell you. The captions stay. -- Skycommander00 17:24, December 2, 2011 (UTC)

I'm looking around and apparently not many people like how things are done here. I can't blame them either. I come to a wiki I expect to see some valid information, if I wanted to go to a funny wiki I would look at Encyclopedia Dramatica. This entire wiki looks like it was vandalized and the jokes are extremely unfunny. -- 12:01, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

"The funny" is not funny.

There is NOTHING funny about anything here. It's low grade sophmoric dry humor that is incredibly stale and shoved down our throats. There is no funny here, nothing here is funny and it needs to go. -- 12:46, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
