Transformers: Shadows Rising is an arcade rail-shooter game developed by SEGA in 2018. It's the sequel to the 2013 game, Transformers: Human Alliance.
Overview[]
The sole controls used in the game are the mounted gun turrets, which allow for continuous fire when the trigger is pulled. The screen display shows the player’s health bar in both bottom corners, and the colored targeting cursor that moves with the turret to show where you are aiming. Hitting targets continuously will increase the player’s combo ranking (You can chain higher combos by also hitting destructible items, such as barrels and crates.) In a 2-Player game, you can also trigger "Alliance Fire!" mode by crossing the targeting cursors, causing the accompanying Autobot to add their firepower to yours.
Plot[]
Five years following aftermath final battle in Chicago, the KSI company was formed where they contributed to creating an artificial Transformers called Decepticons Clones as a replacement for both Autobots and the Decepticons faction. However, the plan failed after Megatron was resurrected and kidnapped all the scientists from KSI, which led NEST and the Autobots to intervene. With Vanessa and Jake best efforts, they're managed to explore further more KSI company in Hong Kong. Turns out, the KSI company under controlled by Decepticons whom send by Megatron. After defeating, Bumblebee's fake clone. The fake clone gives them a vision about missing scientiest, this causing Autobots and NEST investigate to outer space. In space, Optimus Prime was ambushed by his evil clone. Where the two landed and clashing on Moon base. However in the middle of fight, Megatron backstabbing Nemesis Prime, revealed how he got resurrected. The battle between them started, although Megatron easily besting Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and Optimus Prime. Megatron got defeated thanks to Vanessa and Jake's combined efforts. Optimus Prime takes his opportunity to shoot Megatron with his Ion blaster, causing Megatron throw to the space, however Megatron swear that he would be reborn. After the battle, Autobots and NEST returning back all missing scientiest back to Earth. After all people around the world witnessing Autobots and NEST, the KSI company presumably disbanded from public.
Trivia[]
- The game takes place after Dark of the Moon, but alternatively disregarded the events of Age of Extinction and The Last Knight.
- Due to being an alternate timeline where there is no Cemetery Wind and Transformers Reaction Force factions. Its safe assumed for several characters such as; Sam Witwicky, Carly Spencer, Wreckers, Ratchet, Dino/Mirage, Wheelie, Brains, Twins, Barricade, and several Constructicons are "alive" in this timeline.
- Megatron brought back to life without turned into Galvatron, was reference to his Animated counterpart.
- For some reasons, Optimus Prime could flies in outer space without using his jetpack.
