The Trainbots (トレインボット Toreinbotto?), also known as the Railbots, are a subgroup introduced in Transformers: The Headmasters. As the team's name suggests, each member has a locomotive for an alternate mode. Together, they can form the Autobot combiner Raiden in both forms. They have a rivalry with the Decepticon subgroup referred to as the Constructicons.

The Trainbots first saw action in 2007 when Galvatron's Decepticons sparked another war.

It is likely that their rivalry with the Constructicons was written in because both were remolds of six-member combiner teams from the Diaclone line before Transformers.
