250px-SG Thunderwing BlitzwingBop

All we want are the facts, ma'am.

This is the universe. Primax -408.24 Epsilon. His name is Thunderwing. He's a Special Agent in the Elite Guard, an ancient Cybertronian police force. After traveling all over the galaxy and being away from Cybertron, he's not really up to speed on the war.

The story you're about to read is true. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

While drifting through space hunting the escaped crime boss Beta, Thunderwing was drawn to an insignificant blue planet he was passing by when he picked up a stray transmission that suggested another criminal that had fled Cybertron could be found there. He then made a detour from his trajectory to investigate the matter.

Once he arrived at the planet proper, he streaked through the sky in meteorite form and landed in the midst of a fight involving Soundwave trying to rescue Blitzwing from Blaster, with the impact throwing the three to the ground. Thunderwing announced that he was there to arrest a dangerous fugitive, and informed a surprised Soundwave that he was the fugitive, not Blaster. He also accused Soundwave of "faction-baiting" when Soundwave exhorted him to arrest "the Autobot".

Instead, Thunderwing bought Blaster's story that Soundwave had been accosting him and his "friend" Blitzwing, and told Blaster to bring the still-unconscious Decepticon home safely, while preventing Soundwave from intervening. After Blaster left, Thunderwing informed Soundwave that he was charged with "piracy and indecency", after an incident in Soundwave's youth where he had accidentally broadcast a greeting over a military channel instead of a citizen's band and then cursedafter realizing his mistake. He was convinced, however, to wait on arresting Soundwave when told that Soundwave had to first rescue Blitzwing to complete a mission that would allow his currently incapacitated commanding officer to come out of stasis lock, so he could report in. Thunderwing tagged along merely to observe, as he was a "peace officer" not allowed to help with "war offenses".

The two eventually caught up with Blaster trying to send Blitzwing through a Stellar Spanner to Cybertron, but Thunderwing stayed back out of the fight and concentrated on his reports despite Soundwave's protests. He was finally convinced to intervene, however, when Soundwave tricked Blaster into confessing that he was the culprit in the Altihex Protoform Rehabilitation Complex robberies. Blaster was just barely able to dodge Thunderwing's neutralizer cannon blasts, and eventually leapt into the Stellar Spanner himself to escape, which malfunctioned and stranded him on the Moon.

That apparently satisfied Thunderwing on that matter, as the officer was later seen in the Decepticon headquarters after Soundwave completed his mission and revived the other Decepticons, ready to finally haul Soundwave off to Cybertron. Unless Soundwave confessed, that is, in which case the punishment could then take place at any "Cybertronian outpost, colony or municipality"... which Earth now qualified as. His quarry still wasn't happy about having to do 500 hours of community service on Earth, however. Blitzwing Bop

Notes[]

  • Thunderwing's body is modeled on Universe Silverbolt, but with a different head and colored like Generation 1 Thunderwing.
  • His personality, meanwhile, is based on Joe Friday from Dragnet.
  • The fact that the Elite Guard that Thunderwing belongs to is an ancient police force seems to contrast somewhat confusingly with the Autobot Elite Guard attack squad that Thunderclash leads; it's currently not known what sort of connection—if any—the two subfactions have.
