The Terrorcons were a faction of Cybertronians who served Unicron.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts[]
While it remains unknown the true origins of each of the members of the Terrorcons, one thing is absolutely clear: All of them are more than willing to assist and allow Unicron to devour every planet and living thing he crosses, whether it is their homeworld or not. The Terrorcons' primary mission is to retrieve the Transwarp Key by any means necessary and open the portal that would grant Unicron the opportunity to devour Earth and gain the Key's power.
The Terrorcons have been granted dark powers by Unicron as a form of gratitude for pledging allegiance to him, with one of the most notable being the ability to control other beings after they become infected by Scourge's "Mark". These abilities give the Terrorcons everything they require to gain the upper-hand in almost any battle or against any opponent(s), making retrieving their Master's prize all the easier.
