Ted was one of the sound engineers on duty during the Rear Axle concert in the Crown City Rumbledome. Nigel informed him that there was too much reverb, though the vibrations in question were actually being caused by a pair of Mini-Cons shooting up the backstage area. A later attempt by Nigel to communicate with Ted was hampered because Ted's headphones were broken.
