Is this today's Canadian episode, or do I have to erase the character list again?--RosicrucianTalk 15:59, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

It's today's Canadian episode. It's legit. -- SFH 17:23, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Cool. Wasn't sure because my source for Canadian episodes hasn't posted the new one yet.--RosicrucianTalk 17:28, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
God thank the moose. Also, the quote from "who is that GUY!" is an almost direct quote to speed racer X. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs).
How in the name of Chim-Chim can you claim that? It's such a generic line.--Apcog 02:06, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
It was repeated in ever Speed racer episode, "who is that mysterious driver?!?" "Who is that guy?! WHO IS DRIVER X?!" parodied in dexter laboratory where they have the scene where Driver X turns up to be deedee "Where have you been all this time?!" "Right behind you dad!" "OH I NEVER LOOK THERE!" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs).
I mainly remember the narrator stating for the audience's benefit who Racer X was each time he showed up, but I don't recall other characters constantly asking who he was. I can't definitively claim you're wrong, but the parody Dexter's Lab episode probably isn't the best resource on which to rely.

The alleged "Transformers reference" that the other race cars, and Disaster's truck, look like the Stunticons, seems highly dubious to me. Disaster's truck doesn't have Motormaster's distinctive cupola windows (or any cupola), there's no six-wheeled F1 car, and none of the cars particularly resemble a Porsche, Lamborghini, or Ferrari. And, the color schemes are all wrong. Opinions? JW 04:14, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

I was thinking the same thing to be honest with you. --Professor Icepick 04:18, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Maximal Disaster

So, I think the resemblance between Master Disaster's logo and the Beast Wars Maximal logo is strong enough to bear mention. I mean, except for the cheek-fringe, the "hollow" ears, and the fact that Disaster's sometimes has a jaw, they're the same. Opinions? JW 13:26, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Need a better example than this.

Maximal symbol

I can has fuzzy cheeks.

I'd have to agree. -- SFH 16:36, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
"They're the same except for all those ways they're different"? Frankly, I don't think TFA would be shy about just USING the normal sigil unchanged if this was their intent. --M Sipher 17:29, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, if this was a nod, we'd KNOW. Because of the exact-sameness. --ItsWalky 17:36, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
I point out that removing minor details makes it easier to animate. However, [shrug]. JW 17:48, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
If by "minor details" you mean "virtually all of them"... the skull isn't even the right shape up top. --M Sipher 19:45, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Bad example: since when are head normal shaped in Animated? {{unsigned|Countmall]]
Perfectly good example. The Autobot symbol's often distorted when viewed far away, but in close shots, it's always dead on. If this were a Maximal symbol homage, it'd be a lot more accurate in its close shots. This is a demon face—as in "Street Demons"—with a concave arc between the ears/horns and a fanged lower jaw. The Maximal symbol is a vaguely fox-like animal face, with a convex arc between distinct ears and no lower jaw. That's not even counting the Street Demon's lack of cheek fringes (fur?), the triangular Street Demon eyes versus the four-sided Maximal eyes, and the different proportions overall.--Apcog 03:55, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
I'm fairly sure Disaster's design is supposed to be a stylized snake head, not the Maximal symbol.--MCRG 03:44, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Random Blitzwing or Insane Blitzwing or something else?

It just struck me wile reading the quotes section that Blitzwing's insane personalety is called "random" here wile it usualy is "insane". Is there a name we should give it, or does that not matter?-- 20:12, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Again, "Icy", "Hothead" and "Random" are the names given on Blitzwing's model sheet, and (presumably) in the scripts. So that's what we should use. We're going to have to go through older pages to fix this. --M Sipher 20:14, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
The same way "the Ark" was on Teletran-1's model sheet? - SanityOrMadness 22:17, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
No, we have conflicting sources telling us that the autobot ship is, or is not "the Ark". Though, I'm not sure which "Ark" you're talking about. No ones arguing about the "canon" names for Blitzwing's personality. (Undecided) 03:51, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Meddling FOOL!

Master Disaster calls Bumblebee a "butt-inski". A strange reference, or just an odd turn of phrase? I'm undecided. -- Repowers 21:58, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Well, "buttinski" is a pre-existing term... - Chris McFeely 22:16, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
Ah, that's why I hesitated to add it -- I had no idea if it was a made-up phrase or not. That's settled, then. -- Repowers 22:24, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

On the Map

For anyone interested, Dix Street turns into Vernor Highway West in downtown Detroit, not too far north of the river. This gives the approximate location of the street race in the second half of the episode.--Apcog 00:46, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Is it just me or was the female racer at the beginning a homage to Nightbird? The scarf was dead on, and coupled with the helmet, her general color scheme (not a perfect match), and her noticeable muteness, she seemed to be a reference to her. Izanami 15:15, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

It's just you. --M Sipher 06:16, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Blitzwing's wing mounted lasers

I noticed that in this episode, Blitzwing has lasers mounted under his wings, like Starscream. This hasn't been in any other episode, but I'm wondering if it should be a continuity error, or just miscellaneous trivia.--Carrion 06:13, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
