I don't have the comic myself but all info I've read so far clearly identifies the pilot of the Chromia 10 to be Airazor. Is there some reason that was taken out of the entry in favor of being oblique about it? It seems fairly important to mention given their later relationship, and it seems kinda odd to make them work (click link) to find it out. It's a minor point, just sayin' ZacWilliam 12:46, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Airazor isn't her name yet. You might as well call Orion Pax "Optimus Prime" in the entry for War Dawn. --ItsWalky 15:36, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Tigatron's gay!

Why was the statement regarding Tigatron's possible homosexuality removed? I believe it is a legitimate addition, as Tigatron *has* set off the gay-dar of people such as Kevin Smith, and the Japanese version of Beast Wars Airazor. 23:45, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Maybe because it's a stupid sentence and doesn't comply with the romance with Airazor? Provide facts, not ridiculous prose like "It is speculated that Blackarachnia has a BDSM fetish." and let the reader make up his mind. Interrobang 00:01, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
It doesn't conflict with anything. Just because one has a heterosexual encounter does not mean that one is heterosexual. The relationship with Airazor actually cements his position as a member of the homosexual community because of this particular robot's androgyny, and the fact that a rather similar relationship occurred in Japan, where the character *was* male. This combined with the overly "sassy" personality that goes above and beyond what could reasonably be expected to have been imparted from his altmode leads to serious speculation. The fact that your first reaction is "it's a stupid sentence" shows your own ignorance, and unwillingness to accept a worldview which you yourself did not construct. The statement was merely that there was speculation, and Tigatron has given plenty of reasons for speculation. I brought the discussion here to ascertain whether it was legitimate or not, but you seem to be *against* discussion, and *for* idea-bashing and the berating of fellow human beings simply because they state things you don't agree with. You're a disgusting human being. 00:29, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Are you implying that I'm homophobic? My complaint lies in the fact that speculation isn't something to note and that the prose sucks. (You know what prose is, yes?) I'm sorry you have some kind of extreme issue over this and feel the need to pretend my position is something it's not. As a homosexual, I'm annoyed that you consider Tigatron possibly gay based on a "overly sassy personality". Interrobang 02:09, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
And basing possible homosexuality on your opinion of whether a female robot is female enough is idiotic, let alone what the Hell Japan did to Beast Wars. Interrobang 02:16, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Knee-jerk much? Your "point" has been far more dominantly "insult the new guy" than it has been "this isn't notable". I didn't imply any homophobia. That's all in your head. *Who's* pretending the other's position is something it's not? My statement was that I believed Tigatron to be something you disagree with, and instead of stating why you disagree, you deemed fit to forcibly shove your opinion down my throat. It could have been on the topic of homosexuality, it could have been on the topic of Republicanism, it could have been on the topic of him being French. I'll be willing to bet your reaction would have been identically reproachable. But the latter two characteristics aren't derivable from his character. Any valid points you may have are completely overridden by the invalid way in which you choose to communicate them. In regards to sassiness: it isn't a universal characteristic, no, but a lot of my friends who have come out of the closet have afterwards taken on such a personality. It may be a stereotype, but its one that a lot of gay people seem keen on reinforcing. 08:01, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
"Knee-jerk much?" You're the one screaming and nonsensically ranting about how I'm a "disgusting human being" because I called your precious sentence stupid. (By the way, I called it stupid because of the crappy phrasing and shoehorning it into the introduction. "Tigatron is gay" is a stupid concept in itself addressed by my comment about the Airazor relationship.) "My friends do this!" is not relevant to whether Tigatron's gay. All your incessant whining that I'm mean to you is not going to change anything. Interrobang 10:11, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Thank you, Kevin Smith. --Thylacine 2000 01:31, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Not everything that's ever been "speculated" by someone automatically rates a mention in an article here. (Kevin Smith? WTF?) --KilMichaelMcC 01:42, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Oh YEAH. If there's one word that indisputably sums up Tigatron, it's sassy.
(Unless you've, y'know, actually seen the parts of the show that he's in.) -- Repowers 04:32, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
He speaks with one of the most artistically subtle lisps I've ever heard (which is, suspiciously enough, more dominant in robot mode), his leading body part is his hips, and his overall gestures are far more "coy" than the similarly-built Cheetor. Geez, you guys are worse than Sony fanboys. 08:01, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
And, why exactly, are we supposed to take your opinion on some minor aspects of his personality over the fact that he's fucked two female characters? Is Megatron is gay because he's purple and eloquent? Interrobang 10:23, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

"Tigatron's Gay" seems to be a deliberate mistatement of the psychosexual dynamics involved. He's fucked a female cat. He's fucked a female Transformer. She is his soulmate. That this soulmate was a male in onre version of japanese continuity is funny- but he's nto gay either because they re-cast their relationship to make it a platonic (if devoted) relationship of a family retainer to a young member of the nobility. Still not gay, in any continuity... or even any overlap of continuities. - 08:11, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Back in the day Quez gave some translations of "Ack, the Flower?!" and Japanese magazine Q&A that did indeed strongly suggest Metals Tigatron and Airazor were gay. But Takara's after-the-fact disfigurations have nothing to do with Tigatron vis-a-vis American continuity, which is what this article primarily deals with.--Thylacine 2000 14:16, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Link? (It deserves mentioning, but it's also a reflection/backpedal on the gender-swap, so it becomes important to know what exactly was said.) -NotHere 09:10, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Actually, I think Interrobang is opposed to it because talk pages are for the state of the article, not to serve as a forum. Also, Airazor was a girl in the manga. -- SFH 01:35, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Er? Not really. That only applies to the regular Wikipedia, where people throw all sorts of stupid shit into the talk pages. We're more laidback here. Interrobang 02:09, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Who is Kevin Smith and why should I care what he believes? --FFN 10:59, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Not that it matters, since I'm pretty sure we're being trolled and in any case "So-and-so said ____" would be unsuitable for publication here, but a Google search of "Kevin Smith Tigatron" yields nothing. --Thylacine 2000 14:05, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
All I found was that he apparently doesn't like TF that much. --FFN 07:43, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

I've seen countless references to Tigatron's role being meant for Wolfang, going back to the story editors' postings on ATT. I've never heard a source for the Polar Claw thing. Is there something I don't know about? Chip 05:45, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

So find one such post on Google Groups, and make a footnote.
When there is confusion about something, it is always good to link to (cite) a 3rd party source so a confused person posting what he thinks he knows doesn't overwrite what is actually correct. The link should (hopefully) forestall this. -Derik 10:47, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
You're right, of course. It was late and I was tired. Chip 12:01, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
I figured- but then we seldom use whe wiki for citing external sources, most of our cites are for episodes and such, since they're in-fiction. -Derik 12:44, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

I must kill you... because God told me to!

Out of curiosity, where's this from? Interrobang 04:11, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Here. People remembering things that never happened. -Derik 04:16, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
More directly, the original ATT post. --KilMichaelMcC 04:19, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Device Label Tigatron

Is this a new character? If so, shouldn't there be an article on it? --Henry Medals - Broken Mirror 02:56, March 13, 2010 (UTC)
