Supreme Commander and Prime[]
If in G1 the title 'Supreme Commander' referred to the leader of the Cybertronians, what was a 'Prime' then supposed to be? According to the cartoon I always thought Prime was the highest rank there is, political and religious as well. --Aureole 17:06, September 18, 2009 (UTC)
- "Supreme Commander" is only in the Japanese continuity. There, "Prime" - or "Convoy" as he's called - is just the guy's name, not a title, that Rodimus apparently took in homage to him. There have been a lot more Supreme Commanders who are NOT Primes/Convoys in the G1 continuity than there have been those who are . - 86.168.3.7 00:51, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

About the note[]
If the term "Supreme Commander" DID be brought to English-speaking continuity, why it is until Animated Ultra Magnus instead of Optimal Optimus? Is it because of the toys and cartoon? Um, I'm just a little bit confused, thanks for answering. :) --TX55 03:20, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Before Animated[]
I cant believe i am the only one who noticed this but, this term has been used before animated, for a Decepticon! On his box classics Megatron i refered to as "Decepticon Supreme Commander" So the title Supreme Commander HAS been used before animated. i dont own classics prime but, if Megatron's box says it, theres a chance classics OP may also be refered to as Autobot Supreme Commander.
