On the other hand, considering the take, they'd be nuts not to do a sequel.

I think this article should stay. It seems obvious that they will make a transformers 2, after how well the first one has done they'd never pass a chance up to make a sequal. This article gives good information on what is known so far about the possible t2 and as it furthers in developement this article will be the perfect spot to place the updates. ---Guest

For example, I learned about the aircraft carrier on Wikipedia, and saw Starscream flying into space on the TRansformers DVD. Writers Strike stuff

With the strike over, and no particular evidence it slowed the development of TF2 much, I'm thinking the whole paragraph about the strike could just be cut. Five years from now, it would just say something like, "A year and a half before TF2 was released, there was a multi-month writers strike in Hollywood, which didn't have much effect on the movie." For the cast, can we confirm more Autobots than just Prime? People have spotted the vehicles for Rachet, Ironhide, Bumblebee, hell even Jazz's vehicle (even though Bay said "No Jazz in TF2". And now pics from the set and casting call are supporting Arcee as one of the characters as well with a holo-driver. Of course these aren't confirmed by producers or directors, but they at the set so could we? Pretty please? If I was trying to spread misinformation about my movie, I think the first thing I would do is have every vehicle possible driving around the set, including an Ice Cream Van, a Milk Float, A Steam Roller, a bumper car, a roller coaster and a Clown Car, just so I could spend the next week laughing that the fan speculation on these "new characters". Considering we know misinformation is being spread, vehicles seen on or near the sets is pretty obviously not all going to actually appear in the actual movie... Hey guys, it was reported that Paramount has informed the Transformerslive blogsite that there is no '2' in the sequel title, making the current official title Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and it was discovered that Hasbro has registered 'transformersrevengeofthefallen.com'. Bumblebee and Starscream

Isn't it safe to put Bumblebee and Starscream in the "confirmed characters" list. For one, Robert Orci himself said that Starscream will have more dialogue and that Bumblebee is returning. (Especially Bumblebee since I don't think Sam would trade in his kickass transforming alien car for an identical, normal one.)

My mom (I do have one, you know) says she saw something on Sci-Fi (TV commercial or website I'm not sure) a while ago that said Agent Simmons would return for the sequel, and I've also seen the actor who plays him (don't know the name) in pics from the filming. Yeah, Furman states there in discussing The 13 that Revenge of the Fallen is using the Fallen character from the 13. IDW has the Revenge screenplay, and Furman himself is writing the Revenge adaptation. I was cruising Facebook the other day, and, as part of the Revenge of the Fallen promotion, became a fan on the Decepticon page. That's when I noticed this.

I don't know if an image on a Facebook page, even one supposedly created by the movie staff, is "official" enough to be considered a source, so I'm wondering whether or not it should be mentioned in the article.
