Is this guy going to fly like in Transformers Cybertron? The article called Animated Optimus Prime said something about flying somewhere.(Soldier 79 01:07, 21 October 2007 (UTC))

Hey, his Bio says he's a washout. Should that go in now?--Chiasaur11

I personally am opposed to adding bio information gleamed from presumedly-stolen toys, and I interpret the style guide as saying we should not do so, but this was apparently a point of some contention just last week with Prowl and Bumblebee. I know at least one person who agrees with me, but I don't know everyone that was involved with the initial formulation of the policy.
There are a number of individuals (and officials here) who I would feel confident *guessing* feel the same way I do, but I don't know where to point you to see them state that. --Sntint 20:57, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Actually the bios were not taken from "Stolen toys", but premilinary toys send out to big toyshops. It even had it written on them. --Hepathos 21:31, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Where is it written on them that they are preliminaries for toy stores? And if they are, why are they on eBay? --Sntint 21:36, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Well it WAS written on Prowl. And they on eBay 'cuz some people are crazy enought to play 180 bucks for them. --Hepathos 22:39, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
...but who PUT them on eBay? Can you provide evidence that these are preliminaries sent to stores? Also, can you provide evidence that the owners of these stores are the ones putting the toys on eBay?
Because I think Toy Fair, and its equivilants, are how Hasbro advertises upcoming product to retailers. Not by sending them advance copies. --Sntint 22:50, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Sntint is correct -- we do not post information gleaned from leaks or stolen toys. We stick strictly to officially-released/condoned stuff. That goes for images, plot summaries, character names, etc.. Buyer samples -- if these particular toys even are legitimate samples and not simply being billed as such -- are a greyer area, admittedly, but we are staying away from them as well. Unless the toy was purchased from a retailer by a consumer, or the bio was officially released in some capacity (press release, website, promo flyer, etc.), we still consider it "coming soon". eBay is not a legitimate avenue for breaking news. --Steve-o 23:14, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Toys mouthplate

"In robot mode, his head has a retracted mouthplate." Really? Where does this info come from? I have nevere seen any pic of his cybertronian mode with mouthplate. Can anyone else confirm?--GUIGUI 12:16, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

He means, that he has his face with retracted mouthplate. You can't slide it out. --Hepathos 13:07, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Oh, yes, of course. Thanks.--GUIGUI 14:51, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

The Voyager toy does, though.

car crusher

has he stood in a car crusher or something?! look at him!! his bottom halfs tiny and his top halfs nearly the size of UNICRON (<-unicron bits a joke) hows he suposed to transform when he's in that state!!! 17:28, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Wow, are you just awaken from a coma? --Hepathos 20:24, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

is that coma thing a joke? if it is its not funny and i dont get it81.108.233.59 09:02, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

No, he was honestly worried about your neurological health. Seriously though, Transformers much stranger looking than him have existed. Plus, the exagerated difference between his chest and waist/legs give him a hypermasculine appearance, making him look more heroic, appropriate for the fearless leader of the Autobots. Semysane 10:56, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Spatula Caption

Actually, I thought that one was kind of amusing...--Apcog 04:57, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

In that trailer, when Sentinel Prime is a victim to the headmaster, he has the most idiotic laugh. I hope he doesn't laugh like that in the rest of the series.--Dynamus Prime 20:04, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

full truck

will there be a toy with the back of the fire truck.--Autobot Soundwave 22:21, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

If Hasbro doesn't make one, I'm sure someone will make one that they'll sell for exorbitant fees on the internet. - Semysane 22:26, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Can we remove that line from the intro? I find it throws the timing off completely. Simply ending with "Maybe The touch?" seems to put the article off to a better start. (Undecided) 04:01, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

We HAVE to be able to come up with a better caption then "G1 MODE ACTIVATE" for the battle begins OP. Any ideas?--Skyglide 02:23, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

We have a line from the Lumberjack Song for the image before it, perhaps we could use the next line in the song. - Semysane 08:33, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Any reason why we are back to G1 mode activate? ¬_¬ --Skyglide 04:35, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
I put in "OMG! Is that black stuff the same that that other guy has?"

Is that any good?Dead Metal 17:54, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Yea thats pretty good. But so is the axed him for help bit.

and let me just DO NOT CHANGE IT BACK TO "G1 MODE ACTIVATE" its NOT funny. thats like something a third grader would say on the playground!

We need to have like a vote on which we like better.

Black stuff or Axed him a question? --Skyglide 23:00, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Slight problem. Neither of em are particularly funny, and certainly aren't any better or worse then the G1 joke User:GWolfv2 00.07 May 30th
On the contrary, anything is funnier then G1 MODE ACTIVATE!--Skyglide 23:09, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

sure, make a joke about how he resembles g1 prime, BUT MY NO MEANS SHOULD IT SAY SOMETHING AS BLAND AS "G1 MODE ACTIVATE"! --Skyglide 23:14, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

i think i am going to have a stroke. stop changing that caption to Be Sociable have a pepsi! for christ sake you are acting like a child. it got changed, deal with it.--Skyglide 17:23, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

How about you leave it like it is and deal with it. Donut 17:26, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
hey, Oblivious Prime, i dont care about your opinion; stop.--Skyglide 17:34, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
The problem is that changing any existing caption causes negative karma. So if you want to change it, the new caption must be SO MUCH BETTER that it offsets that negative karma.
The things you're proposing are basically... exactly as funny. (or un-funny depending on your perspective,) which puts you in karma debt, contributes to global warming, increases the net level of entropy in a closed system and accelerates the heat-death of the universe.
Find something that's actually funnier to say and maybe your changes won't get reverted. Do not merely rearrange the deck chairs on the titanic to no benefit. -Derik 17:46, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

dude, thats brilliant. point well made and understood. congratz --Skyglide 17:49, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

although... The be sociable have a pepsi is LESS funny then the caption before it, Fanny-Pack Prime. Perhaps we should settle this be reverting back to that?--Skyglide 17:58, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
As it happens, I wrote that caption. And its purpose is not just to be a funny non-sequitor, it refers to something specific about toy toy's appearance. -Derik 18:13, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
The original caption was better, it may not make you laugh out loud, but it was a perfectly good reference to past merchandise. Skyglide, you're the one acting like a child, you contribute nothing and your new caption wasn't funny at all. If you had a problem with the revert you should have brought it up on the talk page before starting an edit war. I also like the Pepsi caption the best, with fanny pack Prime in close second. (Undecided) 22:08, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
Again with the rude (and false) accusations of contributing nothing? That is getting real old, real fast. Seriously, i am sick of it, just stop. I find rudeness incredibly intolerable. It is the pet peeve i hate most passionately. And know this, my problem was not with the pepsi reference, it was with the "Be Sociable" part. Coincidentally, because it sounds rude. Also, i don't care that my version of it was less funny, my goal was to maintain the pepsi reference while eliminating the bit i perceived as offensive to the reader. Now, i have moved past this and no longer am going to argue about this. But something needs to replace the be sociable. And (undecided) the humorous nature of my version was equally (un)funny. And sorry Derrik, but i found the fanny pack prime bit much funnier. And of course, it also referred to something specific about the toys appearance (namely, his huge buhdunkadunk).
a final thought: Humor is highly subjective. it is nearly impossible to amuse everyone simultaneously. However, when someone finds it offensive, it simply must be changed.--Skyglide 05:00, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Er- what exactly was your problem with the Be Soecial part?
"Be Sociable, Have a Pepsi" was an ad campaign. It's still held up as one of the best advertising catchphrases ever. (By advertisers, who think the embedded connotations are brilliant.) -Derik 05:16, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
oh...oh jeez...I guess an apology is in order then. sorry :D. I guess my argument should be with pepsi co and the advertisers and such. Really? i find that hard to believe. it just sounds so rude. huh...oh well. You must excuse me for not recognizing it, ...seeing as how it is from 1958, 34 years before i was even born. Upon researching it further, i found that out. Would it be to much to consider "You've Got a Lot to Live, and Pepsi's Got a Lot to Give". i rather like that one. Or maybe "Pepsi. The Choice of a New Generation", since that one is from 84, the year g1 started. or maybe something more native here, change "We've Got The Taste" to the You've Got The Taste, You've Got The Power". or maybe the 91 slogan, "Chill Out", changed to Transform and Chill Out. ha. again way sorry about that, again 34 years before me. --Skyglide 05:43, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
As Derik said, Be Sociable Have A Pepsi is more famous. None of those are memorable in any way. Also, can you stop complaining? It's just a freaking caption. Seriously. --Detour 06:08, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
"More famous" is kind of a stretch. "I'd like to buy the world a Coke" is famous. "The choice of a new generation" is somewhat famous. "Be sociable" is trivia, unless you were alive when it was used. Maybe instead of having a big revert war, an appropriate link to Wikipedia explaining the (obscure) joke would serve to both amuse and enlighten people? --Buttbutt 22:55, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Wow, toy image captions are SERIOUS BUSINESS. - Semysane 07:28, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Voice Actor Trivia

So, why exactly is it not appropriate to list the fact that David Kaye (who does Prime's voice in Animated) also did Megatrons voice in some of the previous cartoons? I would think that would be trivia worthy. I'm new here, so I guess I don't have this stuff down yet. - Loudstone 20:46, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

It's already noted on David Kaye's page, where it is much more relevant. -- SFH 20:47, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
That's retty much how I noted the reason in the edit summary when I did the revert.--Apcog 23:09, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, sorry guys. Here's a lesson: Don't wikia while tired. My brain just wasn't registering why this didn't need to be there... makes perfect sense now. Thanks! Loudstone 10:50, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Legends Optimus Prime / Animated 3-Pack

How should the 3-pack with the Universe Legends Optimus Prime be listed? The instructions indicated the 3-pack will be released in the Animated line, not Universe. --Loudstone 18:47, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Check out Bumblebee (Movie) to see how repacks are listed. --ItsWalky 18:50, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
It's Walky! Now I need to go read shortpacked. Sorry, easily distracted... Okay, I did actually look at that page. What is confusing me here, is that the Legends toys are "Universe", while the deluxe Lockdown (and the pack in general) are "Animated". So, I would think that it should have been put under "Animated" toys instead. I didn't want to move it without checking first. --Loudstone 21:39, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
What's on the package is what counts. Animated for 3-pack. Universe for the individual release of the Legends toys. —Interrobang 03:37, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Well, looks like Rhinox555 fixed it. Thanks! --Loudstone 20:56, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Darkest hour caption

I put "now, light our darkest hour!" on the image of Prime jamming the key in Megatron's chest. Is that okay?

That or Is this a rerun?. I like the first better, but...

Yeah that's fine. I uploaded it and didn't add a caption, so it's okay with me. -- SFH 02:45, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

like the first better?

Adding Pics

Can someone add some better pics of Optimus in his Cybertronian mode from the show? they seem to be 'missing' and there was plenty of times in the series when he was in his Cybertronian mode that could be posted than just Optimus, Sentinel and Elita together.
