Uh, watching the 3-minute preview, It looks like at the end, Megs loses his arm in the explosion, so prowl didn't yank it. Can anyone confirm this?

What's the source for Animated Megatron having Movie Megatron's head? -- SFH 21:09, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

His artwork on the little flyer they handed out at SDCC, as well as his toy. --FFN 22:08, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
Aaaaaand now the trailer... <3<3<3 Detour 23:24, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Why are you ruining this site?

Anyone notice the top view Seibertron had of his toy prototype jet mode seems to bear a more than passing resemblance to the starship Serenity from Firefly?

Lots of people, but I don't really see it, myself. --ItsWalky 14:00, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey just to confirm, is the toy prototype his earth or cybertronian form. I'm fairly certain it's his cybertronian one, because it mathces what we saw in the trailer, head design, shoulder spike.

Toy proto?

I don't know if we do unpainted test shots as part of this wiki. Not really kosher as the test shots getting out isn't exactly legal...--Rosicrucian 21:01, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

We do not. That particular image has been deleted so many times. --ItsWalky 21:08, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

OK, sorry. How about the officialy showed unpainted version, that were on Comic-Con?--Hepathos 18:47, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Personally I'd say toy protos of all stripes are not really well-suited to this wiki. Hand-painted versions such as those shown at Comic Con are fair game because in most cases we have clear photos of them and they are fairly close to what their final decos will be. However grays or test shots just aren't indicative of anything but sculpt.--Rosicrucian 18:52, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, yeah... but we can remove them in the sec the final pictures came out, and iuntil that we can live big notes that the toys are just prototypes. OR leave a long description of the toys until pics came out. I did that once for Lockdown, but someboddy deleted it all...--Hepathos 19:59, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Officially-released photos of prototypes are allowed until we have better photos. --ItsWalky 20:00, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Hurry up already.

Hurry up putting new information on this f*** already! Are you going to make me do your work?

You sound familiar. Have we met before? Anyway, we don't HAVE any information right now, the show isn't out, the toys aren't out, what do you want us to put??? --Detour 06:07, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

His fucking vehicle mode! No we never met before. I'm his 5 Star superior general. That guy you thought of was 4 Stars.

Where is his vehicle mode picture?

Neither the toy nor the animated series are out yet. Pictures are relatively scarce, and generally not good enough to include on this wiki as they are unpainted prototypes and test shots.--Rosicrucian 00:47, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Or, they're botleg images we cannot use. -- SFH 00:48, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
If you wan't rumors, they say he became a Terminator-like VTOL jet in Earth mode. -Hepathos 16:10, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Profile update

I don't know where you're getting this information, but it looks like you've cooked a good deal of it up on your own. What's more it's quite wrong in spots, because in this continuity Optimus Prime is not the leader of the Autobots, he's a washout from the Autobot Academy just assigned to his first command of a mining operation. He probably will become a great leader, but he's nobody now. Well, nobody but an obstacle between Megatron and the Allspark.--RosicrucianTalk 02:46, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Earth mode

Why was his Earth form pic removed, it'll be his body for almost all his appearances?

Please show an image of him in his V-22 Ospery alterante mode or I will put him as a jet again.(EDD! 01:04, 5 January 2008 (UTC))

Here. It was also included in the "Animated" intro video on Hasbro's website, but since then, they've edited it to remove him. - Chris McFeely 01:07, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Image Placement

Anybody but me think the current image placement looks terrible? Or does everyone have way more screen real estate than me? JW 21:37, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

I think it looks pretty questionable to have Megatron's "main" picture be the body he doesn't have yet, myself....--Thylacine 2000 23:58, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
I suggest that the image of megatron punching starscream with the key to be in this article, with the caption "does anyone else attempt to fill his shoes?"--Grand-majin 09:10, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Transform and rise up

he has only said it once... how can it be his new slogan? Gspro15198 not signed in —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.141.101.189 (talkcontribs) 14:02, 9 April 2008.

My thoughts exactly. People are making this out to be a momentous occasion instead of what it is, a barb tossed at Optimus Prime.--RosicrucianTalk 14:37, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Optimus had vanished. How can it be a barb. It was intended as just a throw in line. I doubt it'll be a catchphrase, but it should be noted however.User:GWolfv2
I am just wondering, Should it be removed from the wiki until Megatron uses that line a few more time? Possibly just list it under notable quotes in the meantime? Gspro15198 14:44, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
I've nothing against including it in the quotes for that episode, but yeah we shouldn't assign too much importance to it unless he actually does make it a catchphrase in future episodes.--RosicrucianTalk 14:49, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Confirmed on fistful of energon.
I originally thought it was just a throwaway line that was gonna be used once and that's it. But as confirmed in A Fistful of Energon, it seems to be a catchphrase after all.--AWT88 16:31, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
Two uses in nearly thirty episodes do not a catchphrase make. Galvanisation 13:56, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Voyager Toy

Just curious but is his voyager toys fusion cannon removable from his arm?

Only if you have a hammer! --ItsWalky 21:48, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Well actually it pops out of its socket really easily. But then you have "Inexplicable arm kibble hinge Megatron" for a toy until you snap it back on.--RosicrucianTalk 13:58, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Osprey mode

How exactly did he obtain this, again?KrytenKoro 07:25, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

No Explanaton was really given, maybe he preferred that vehicle, and downloaded its form off a computer.

Or it was to sell toys.-Mechabreaker Prime 17:42, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Okay, it was just because of this edit comment:
"Er, it's quite known how his Earth form came about."
So I thought I must have missed something, because I didn't remember seeing it.Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 05:22, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Leader Toy

Alright, I corrected it to say that his cannon is on his left arm out of the package (true for the standard US release at least), but now I'm wondering if the original description was a mistake, or if there is an alternate packaging. Also, I removed the part about his cannon being able to rotate 180 degrees for more show accuracy, because, well... it's not more show accurate. Plus, it seems to put a bit of strain on the cannon to be ALL the way backwards, so why recommend it? --Loudstone 10:46, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

I think you're rotating the wrong part of the cannon. It has a pivoting base, yeah, and it can only properly rotate in a single 180 degree arc. But the actual barrel itself can rotate 360 degrees without any apparent stress, resistance, or impact on his entirely too sensitive firing mechanism. And this does make the cannon more show accurate. It's still hampered by having this huge chunk of fuselage attached, but we can't have everything. --Gelgameth 01:15, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh yes, that makes a lot more sense. Wow, I was doing something very silly. Thanks for explaining that. --Loudstone 02:06, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

McDonald's Happy Meal Toy

So, the current description says: "Despite the transformation's simplicity, his vehicle mode is actually fairly show-accurate." Am I the only one that thinks this toys' vehicle mode looks NOTHING like his Osprey mode from the show? It's Megs laying on his face with a cockpit over his head, for goodness sakes. Loudstone 10:46, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

I have the toy myself, and minus the fact that you can clearly see his hands (and that he seriously needs a better paint job), he is pretty accurate. We could wait for some more opinions though. (Tribor 02:53, 5 September 2008 (UTC))

His helicopter mode does not usually look like his robot mode took a nap. It looks next to nothing like any kind of helicopter at all, short of having propellers. --ItsWalky 03:14, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Page quote

I'd rather not just change it back as a knee-jerk reaction, but... the old one ("Laugh now, child. I will show you true fear!") was a lot more representative of him than the current version, which is more of a "heh heh, he said erect, heh heh heh" sorta thing. Personally, though, I'd've gone with his speech from "Mission Accomplished." —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.245.138.190 (talkcontribs) 04:17, 2008 November 5.

Cult whatnow?

Okay, I give up: what's with the Family Guy reference? 69.253.203.128 07:42, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Somebody seriously vandalised this page; I just undid their vandalising edit. I should watch out for whover that was though... Harley Quinn hyenaholic 16:08, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Did anybody see the new commercial? I think he's Galvatron now. 209.247.23.40 17:32, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
