The article mentions that Megaplex was one of two original characters introduced in the Machine Wars line. Who was the other? Hubcap and Sandstorm both could arguably said to be either "original" or "re-envisioned G1."--G.B. Blackrock 16:11, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Hubcap (G1) and Hubcap (MW) appear to be starkly different fellows to me. One's a well-liked popular guy and the other is a creep that loves dead bodies. I'm not really sure how those can reconcile. --ItsWalky 18:00, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
One's a communications officer, the other is a horrible mechanical ghoul. I find the premise that the two are the same very difficult to believe. --M Sipher 20:26, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Not that it really matters, but did Megatron really not come with the Gun accessories originally in Japan? Just that, those accessories can be made into a Gun turrent for Microman figures, so that doesn't quite sound right, since he was originally a part of that line.

He did not come with the fusion cannon, at the very least. He got a sword instead. --ItsWalky 22:30, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
The only vintage Japanese Megatron to come with any of the attachments was the Good-Bye Megatron set, which included the fusion cannon. --FortMax 00:05, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

From the article: "Megaplex is a redeco of the original Megatron Walther P-38 pistol toy in the same colors as its original Takara Transformers release" So was the original Megatron in Japan flat gray and blue? I'm having a bit of trouble interpreting this(especially since the Megatron article contradicts it). --Crockalley 20:43, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, all vintage Japanese Megatron released were flat grey and blue. It wasn't until the reissue that Japan got a chrome/red Megatron. --FortMax 00:04, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
I believe Goodbye Megatron is red and flat grey, despite being depicted as blue on his packaging (using redrawn boxart, even). -LV 01:12, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
It apperes you're right, and it makes sense in a twisted sort of way. The US Megatron boxart is identical to the MC P38 Uncle art aside from the added sigil, and was edited to blue for the red Goodbye Megatron set. Yet the art used for the standard release was repainted from the MC P38 (black) to US megatron colors, complete with the red legs and arms. The VS set got the colors right, though. --FortMax 02:07, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
