How did Hot Rodimus' reisuie's bio deal with the whole Target Master thing? X-BoB58 22:05, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Was Black Rodimus called... Black Rodimus? (I assumed he'd be 'Black Hot Rodimus')

For that matter, doy ou knwo the proper name of Black Big Convoy? I'm loathe to trust the error-riddled tfu.info for such fine distinctions. -Derik 08:59, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

What's the reasoning behind this "Rodimus Prime is gay" comment? As it is, it seems unappropriate. --Crockalley 13:49, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

It's part of who the character is, so it seemed worth mentioning. Chip 14:31, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, he is a "flaming" Winnebago, but I think this should be taken with a slight grain of salt. Apparently this exchange occurred at Botcon 2002:
<Question> Mr. McConnohie, you played Tracks.
<Mike> No,he's not gay.
<Gautier (jumping in)> But Rodimus is!
Quoted from Finback's report on a.t.t. --Autobus Prime 14:50, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
I suspected something like that. Thanks for clearing it up. --Crockalley 15:21, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Main image

Since it bugged me, I removed the text from the main image. It took me quite a long time, so I will be annoyed if anybody decides to change the pic soon afterwards. --FFN 17:53, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for doing that! It is good work. --ItsWalky 18:28, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, now I'm just plain consumed with the desire to change it. :) - Chris McFeely 19:10, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
And don't anybody forget, *I* originally scanned and uploaded the image! *I* deserve at least 50% of all credit or at least double prize money. --DrSpengler 19:15, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks guys. I used to do this sort of editing when I was a texture/user interface "artist" (and I use the term very loosely) on Star Trek game mods. Oh, and I hope nobody thought I implied that nobody can change the picture ever, I would just like it to hang around for awhile. --FFN 09:36, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Pictures!

Whoooo doggy, do the fiction sections needs some image scans FIERCE. --M Sipher 01:00, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

I said to myself, I said, self, "Take a half-hour and do his Marvel section, the poor boy needs it." Ninety minutes later... eesh... - Chris McFeely 01:09, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Optimal Rodimus

Where's this from, and is there anything to back it up? I've never heard of such a thing.--MCRG 13:57, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

trailer

i remember reading somwher that rodimus primes trailer folds out from his legs, it doesnt, if you watch grimlocks new brain you will see his trailer repeated ly roll on and off when energy waves affected his circuits and he repeatedly transformed from vechile mode and back again86.112.249.240 18:34, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, it happens there, and in "Face of the Nijika," too. But watch him transform in the movie, or, off the top of my head, "Only Human," "Call of the Primitives," or the "The Ultimate Weapon," to see the trailer folding out of his body. In fact, in the latter two examples, you can see that the transformation is actually intricately rendered enough that it features the wheels folding back inside his legs as panels close over them. - Chris McFeely 19:33, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Time to break it up

I got the "32kb" warning when fixing a typo on Hot Rod's page. The actual stated size is 45kb. I suggest it's time to split up the article? The toys section is long, but I don't know that it's long enough to be enough. I'll mess around with it myself later, but I wouldn't mind someone with more experience at this look at it. -Sntint

If we're going to break off G1 Megatron's toy section to its own page, we should do the same for Hot Rod now. If the toy section is too short as-is, I can add a bunch of Japanese stuff to it. --Rotty 09:45, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

There's probably enough Japanese Rodimus merchandise out there to fill the page quite a damn bit. Actually, we need someone who really knows that shit on here. --M Sipher 09:57, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Duke Fire?

You know, aside from the "cab for chest" and the ladder hanging off the back, I really see no ressemblance between Duke Fire [1] and that unused Fire Truck Rodimus...

Similar

Did you ever notice that if you put Hot Rod and Breakdown next to each other in car form that you almost couldn't tell them apart?

If your color-blind, then, yeah.--Autobotx1010 17:54, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Alternate futures

This seemed as good a place as any to ask: is there a better way of dealing with the "Movie Future" stories for Marvel Comics? Currently, any reference to those stories tends to be squeezed in after Generation 1 continuity, but that really offsets the flow of the article, especially for Hot Rod. At one point, his G1 article shifts into italics for an excessive period of time, then the G2 section basically picks up saying, "Ignoring all that, where we last left Hot Rod on Klo 11 paragraphs ago..." What about moving "Movie Future" stories into their own heading, and putting it linearly in the timeline, so just before the Classics heading, if any? Is there a good name for a separate heading? "Movie Future" seems 4th wall-y, and I'm not sure if Earth-120185 covers the alternate alternate timelines from AoE and RoD.

Also, as a sidenote, is the Marvel Comics adaptation of the TFTM considered the canon version of the Unicron events in the UK Movie Future, or does the UK Movie Future just involve something "like" the movie? --Xaaron 19:29, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Putting the Movie Future stuff out of G1 and moved to after G2 is a bad idea. Not only would that suggest that the Movie Future stuff ISN'T from the G1 book despite being published there, it also suggests that those events happen after the events of G2, which they don't. G2 doesn't lead to the movie. --ItsWalky 19:40, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Granted. But it could still use a subheading, right? Just something that more obviously says, "Stop reading here". --Xaaron 20:12, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Picture needing deletion

Umm, there's a picture on this this page that has porn in it or has somthing that resembles porn and I think thats inapropret.--Autobot Soundwave 19:46, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

...are you going to tell us which?--RosicrucianTalk 20:05, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Sadly no. My computor blocks the page due to the picture.--Autobot Soundwave 20:25, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Then I'm afraid we can't help you.--RosicrucianTalk 20:28, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Is it a picktue in the Kiss Players section? It may be blocked because of the word "naked" in the "title" property. --FortMax 20:34, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Most likey try changing the "title".--Autobot Soundwave 20:36, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
The pic in question is an actual scan from a real, canonical Japanese Transformers comic. Ergo, we're not likely to delete it. We recommend that you relax the filtering software on your computer. If you can't, well, keeping you away from Kiss Players is probably a good thing. (It's annoyingly creepy.) JW 20:47, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Finale Part I

Hot Rod DOES appear in the unpublished script portion of Wreckers #4. I'm well aware that it's technically not official, but... it's still part of the story, a necessary bridge between the published portions. How do we handle it for character pages? Omitting it seems a bit disingenuous. -- Repowers 16:40, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

I'd say it'd go in a note at most. In all honesty, having read #4... it struck me as something of a styrofoam peanut (decompressed storytelling, ugh), and Part II was written as best as possible so you wouldn't have to read #4. The arrival on Cybertron is the important part from unpublished #4... and most of what the Wreckers proper did in that was talk a lot. --M Sipher 17:08, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Altmode

Is Hot Rod's altmode of Cybertron origin (never reformatted for earth) or is it supposed to be an 2005 model year Earth vehicle. I always thought all these years that it was Cybertronian, but now I'm not so sure.—Starfield 13:50, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

I've always thought it was obvious by way of comparison to the blatantly Cybertronic Kup and Blurr that Hot Rod was supposed to be a 2005-era Earth car, but so far as I know, there's never been any confirmation on it one way or another (of course, in the comics, he'd be a Nebulan car from 1987 if anything, but he doesn't look anything like any Nebulan vehicles, so maybe that means he IS Cybertronic.) -LV 15:15, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

The guys in the Headmasters comic didn't take new forms when they arrived on Nebulos. So, Fort Max's crew are all Cybertronic cars/jets/drill tanks/claw monsters. -- Repowers 15:33, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
I don't think ol' Bob paid much attention to that. I mean remember The Flames of Boltax!... it had the Triggerbots on Cybertron's past in their Earth-based altmodes. Likewise the Powermasters all had Earth altmodes in spite of never having been on Earth prior to their debut appearance. --Detour 16:01, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
I figured that this would have been the type of thing that the Fandom had come to some kind of consensus on years ago. Memory is a funny thing.—Starfield 17:06, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

I had always just assumed that he was Cybrtronian, but you know what they say. Assumming makes an %#$ out of you and me.HotRodimus 01:42, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
