Does anybody think that Ichikawa wrote the 'World of the Tranformers' feature at the TakaraTomy TF website? Though I can't read it, from the pics it seems to show things from the Marvel continuities and what has been said or depicted in the US continuities, such as The One and the 13 Original Transformers. I can't imagine anybody else at Takara that clued-up about the US continuities. --FFN 15:13, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

I actually asked Doug Dlin about that a few days ago. He said he'd ask, but did note Ichikawa had said he was working on a big TF project for Takara that was "strictly for in-house reference", but perhaps this is inspired by it. And I'll be damned if that's not a prettied-up and tweaked version of my Continuity Flowchart there... which Ichikawa actually sent me comments on regarding a few Japanese series links. I'll let you all know soon as I hear back. --M Sipher 15:45, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
It certainly has a lot of references to Marvel Comics stuff which is typically Ichikawa's thang. I noticed that Polyhex was referenced as the Decepticon capital city on Cybertron, along with the Dead End and the Smelting Pool among other things. --DrSpengler 15:52, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Er, I thought Ichikawa preferred the G1 cartoon and wasn't too hot on the Marvel comics?--Nevermore 16:19, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
He doesn't much care for the mysticism aspects of the comics. But that also doesn't mean he's going to ignore them when it comes to a vaguely-comprehensive "everything TFs" deal. --M Sipher 16:30, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Ichikawa loves Budiansky, but doesn't like Furman. --ItsWalky 17:03, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
If Ichikawa doesn't like Furman... the most prolific western Transformers writer... WHAT CHANCE, then... DO WE HAVE?!? --FFN 17:17, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
I'd been under the impression that Ichikawa just liked it when Furman was telling adventure tales better, anf was turned off by the I MUST COSMIC REVELATIONism.
(Though I don't know where I got that impression...) -Derik 21:55, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, that's what's nice about the current IDW lineup. You've got Infiltration/Escalation/Devastation for good old straight-up Autobots versus Decepticons on Earth with a number of intriguing angles to the Great War, and you've got the Dead Universe stuff on a slow boil in the Spotlight titles rather than overwhelming the main story. It's a good balance, I think. He's recovered nicely from being all Dreamwavey and isn't tipping his hand too soon for once.--Rosicrucian 22:00, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm greatly heartened by Furman's stated intention to retire Unicron for awhile. The Dark Universe stuff would seem to stem from him, but if he never actually shows up, it promises to tell a much more interesting story in the fringes. Unicron != Interesting -Derik 23:21, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Continuity Flowchart[]

In the name of curiosity, here's what the flowchart looks like in English:

Japaneseflowchart Another nutty inclusion of Car Robots in the G1 timeline! (That file's a bit on the big side, but there's some tiny-assed text in it that would probably have been j-pegged into oblivion...) - Chris McFeely 23:11, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Here's the chart file itself if you felt like creating a cleaner (or larger) version. It's much-scaled-down in the flash file.

What does the WOTF site say about the conenction between Vector Sigma, the Creation Matrix and the Allspark? (I want to know if it says the allspark gives sparks or not, we know it gives life, but we've got no idea if all it makes are drones or not, especially since we've got two mentions to a seperate Matrix in Movie continuity.) -Derik 02:51, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
