...I'm sorry, Derik, but if we demand at least a standard layout from the new guys and anons, we should expect no less from one of our own. I'm saying we should delete it. -- SFH 04:30, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Yes well, I was just in the process of adding the stuff to make it stub-worthy. I kinda brain-farted, sorry. ;) -Derik 04:34, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

I must object to the de-snarking tag to what is (tragically, hilariously,) a straightfaced summary of the episode. They really DO eat bento boxes under the sakura. -Derik 03:53, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Derik is right, this really IS what happened in the episode. That said, if you didn't already know that, this might just read like a confusing joke. Perhaps expanding the article to include more of a blow-by-blow summary of the episode will illuminate things. Jimsorenson 15:45, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
That is part of the problem. Information first, humor second. And besides, we can at least think of a better intro sentence. -- SFH 16:22, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
I would not oppose rephrasing this article to be more dryly factual. As you say, when the subject matter itself is ridiculous it short-circuits our normal ability to parse humor from information.
That said- this episode is pretty much the exemplar of our "Transformers is inherently ridiculous" philosophy. -Derik 17:06, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Ridiculous, maybe, but am I alone in finding this to be one of the most optimistic Transformers series endings ever? The idea of the Maximals & Predacons from two different conflicts putting aside their differences to rebuild Cybertron together, set to the gentle music of 手の中の宇宙, is really quite appealing to me. Much better than the standard 'The good guys win and drive off the bad guys' that we usually end with. -Jimsorenson 17:15, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Hh. Cast list headaches. I'm not counting the final image (which includes Galvatron, being a sort of 'farewell from the cast,') but some of the people who appear only there WERE probably on Cybertron for the rebuilding. (Ikard for example, we saw the Tako rank earlier- but not him.) That probably needs to be relegated to a big 'ol trivia item. -Derik 17:59, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

"Naruto". Very funny. I do not object, btw. --DrSpengler 19:42, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Er, where's Unicron on the characters list? —Interrobang 22:37, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

God Neptune[]

Just so I don't have to dig out my tapes, was God Neptune shown helping rebuild Cybertron and not just in that final farewell cast shot? Because God Neptune was totally killed by Thrustor and Dirgegun in the last episode of BWII, and I recall that rebuilding montage was more or less pretty good about keeping the dead guys out (up until the aforementioned cast shot, that is). --DrSpengler 19:40, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Isnt' that God Neptune? He's accompanying Thrustol and Dirgegun- maybe the rebuilded him? -Derik 20:14, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that's definately him. I guess he survived. Somehow.--DrSpengler 20:21, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Are you sure you're not thinking of the Manga? I'm skimming- but it looks like the Space Pirates were defeated by Magnaboss and left behind as the Maximals went off to assault Nemesis- and then never reappeared. -Derik 20:32, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure. They arrived on Nemesis at the end (I remember Scylla running around looking for Scuba) only to wind up being killed. Rob's Transformers Page would seem to share my memory of that scene, though there are a few inconsistencies in that summary (the Maximals don't "enter the Matrix" at the end). --DrSpengler 20:42, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Okay, I am rewatching the episode? And the death's indicated (including Santon and Skywarp) simply do not happen. Santon and Skywarp are SEEN in the final scene! They are not dead. Unless the Seacons deaths are not seen and just established in dialog... they are not in this final episode, and the thing about Santon and Skywarp is simply demonstrably wrong.
I'm calling Shenanigans on Rob's summary and your memory. -Derik 21:05, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Well, just to be sure, I dug out my BWII tapes and skimmed through episodes 41-43. Looks like my memory and Rob's summary were mistaken. The Seacons don't show up and Santon and Skywarp don't get killed, either. I'll make the proper adjustments to the necessary pages. --DrSpengler 21:22, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Bah, just when my FTP upload was almost done. Oh well- this means I'm not chained to the computer waiting for it anymore. -Derik 21:28, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
