It's the same reason that Wheeljack sounds totally Jewish and Perceptor sounds British and Doctor Who sounds like he's from the North... lots of planets have a North. (Also, I always had this little fanon idea that Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, Omega Supreme, and the other guys who had "greek" or "latin" names on Earth actually had like, ancient Quint names on Cybertron, and the renaming translation process on earth reflected that. Similarly, Glasnost would have a name from a language other than the "main" branch of Cybertronix, I guess.) -hx, still at school.
