I don't know if these are necessarily hardcoded into a Cybertronian. After all, who manufactures someone with a function of "Criminal Overlord"?--RosicrucianTalk 17:29, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Cryotek? -- SFH 17:34, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, Function is a label that appears in character bios, but whether it's actually the "primary duty programmed into each Transformer" is not clear, and almost certainly varies on a case by case basis. --KilMichaelMcC 17:41, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Not to mention we hate huge-ass lists.--RosicrucianTalk 01:50, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

FUNCTION: SHARK. -hx 20:11, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

HX just gave me an idea. Why not make this a proper article, as we've done with tech spec and bio, while still taking the time to ridicule the sheer lunacy of some of the stated functions? -- SFH 02:03, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
I have begun the retool.--RosicrucianTalk 02:25, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Sounds goods to me, SFH. And not only are some of the functions nuts, but there's alot of overlapping. @_@ Well, I've been wanting to see an article on Functions, so I finally broke down and started one. Yes, I'm a newbie here. I'll check out the 'how-to-edit' feature...one of these days. Zadok Rox 02:21, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

There is a category

Should this be the main article for Category:Functions , the master category for all the categories transformers get assigned to based on function. Things like medics, Rulers of Cybertron, pirates, spies, artists... Spriteless 04:58, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Wrong tact.

I think this article is taking the wrong approach. It should be about the "Function" feature on the techspecs of the toys, not the concept that TFs have individual jobs (which is a silly thing to have an article on). Look at the techspec and bio pages for an example of what I mean. There about a fascit of the toyline/packaging not nebulous "in fiction" concepts. --ZacWilliam 05:43, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
