Talk: Energon (fuel)

The Pure Energon/Element/Molecule thing is all from the Blackthorn TF in 3d #1, which is the closest 'scientific' look we've ever had at Energon. It takes place in an alternate version of Season 3.

When/If Energon's entry is expanded beyond a stub status, a notice qualifying this as not beign from mainline cartoon continuity is in order. -- Derik

This is a random thought I had, on Energon as it exists in the fiction as a reflection for the states of matter. Energy- normal energy- acts liek a gast insofar that it disperses. But energon- the most potent form of energy int he XXX... is a liquid- a more concentrated form of energy (and yes, ti has matter associated because you ened somethign to bind that up) whereas the big 'recent' fictive revolution is Energon weaspons- not jsut swords which pulse with raw energon or blades cut from it- but actual PHYSICAL WEAPONS, like guns, composed entirely of 'hard' solid energon. A 3rd phase of matter. (Energon weapons liek that, BTW, are suppsoed to pack 10-20 times the whallop of non-energon weapons.)

And given the general association of Primus with EWnergon and Sparks- is it possible that Sparks are a sort of... solid energon? They're nto HARD liek energy weapons, or liquid... but maybe some other energistic form of the same, liek a standing wave? (We have, at various points, been promised revelations abotu the special affinity of Energon and Transformers life-energy, mostly undelivered by the death of the Energon comic.)

Is there a conection between "Energy Crystals" and Energon

So I'm finally getting around to watching Season 2, and I'm noticing that the writers were apparently very found of the idea of Cristaline Energy as it pops up in many episodes such as "A Prime Problem" and "The God Gambit" yathink that perhaps this is the same stuff as the Natural Energon Crystals in Beast Wars?

Rarified Energon it's own entry?

The newest issue of the club magazine introduces the concept of Rarified Energon wich is apparently the TRUE and PURE form of energon and is what both all sparks and all Transformer bodies (!) are made out of. Should that be adapted into this article do you think? Or should Rarified Energon get it's own entry? --ZacWilliam 00:58, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

At this point I'd say it should simply be added to the current article, although how exactly to wedge it in without mucking up the continuity boundaries escapes me right now. --Steve-o 06:16, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Marvel Comics

I suggest an entry for Marvel Comics. I know energon didn't play a big role (I'm not sure if there was any energon at all). The entry could say something like: "Energon did not exist in the Marvel Universe, they used modified gasoline and other stuff instead." I'm not familiar with all Marvel stories, so I checked this entry for more information and there really isn't anything here. - Starfield 17:19, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Proposing move

There's liek 18 bazillion things named Energon ___. Including a franchise. And the Energon in the franchise not only isn't G1 Energon, it cannot be. Energon in the Energon 'toon is an element. A specific and rare substance with wacky magic powers. In G1 it's alien gasoline, and you can make it out of anything, even sound. We do a dis-service to both subjects by trying to cram them into one article.

Energon should direct to Energon (disambiguation) and all existing links to Energon be redirected to Energon (fuel) by 'bot procedure. For/Against? -Derik 19:44, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Nah, we've got a 'bot that can change all the links to Energon at once. So the only links that will be broken would be... the ones that meant to link to the Candy-type.

Yeah, but there'll still be any God's amount of links pointing to the disambiguation page for energon, sorting those out is pretty much what I do here. But bring it on, I always wanted to fix the ones for the different types of energon that pointed to the fuel and not the other uses it probably meant. So now I've an excuse. Uh... what would we call the Magic Candy? Energon (Energon)? That even more redundant than Moon (moon).

"Segment it"

The line from Beast Wars part 2 was specifically in reference to the mountaintop crystal being way the hell too big for Waspinator and Terrorsaur to haul back to the Pred ship, leading to the entirely more natural conclusion that Tarantulas is the only Predacon who can cut it into more manageable pieces without releasing the stored energy. Most of this is stated explicitly in the dialogue, and the conversation in question was never about directly utilizing the energon itself. 65.7.64.230 08:57, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
