Problem with the title. Energon is an element in Beast Wars, too. Megatron says so in the first episode. --KilMichaelMcC 00:01, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

I believe McFeely was open to a move on this one. We're kinda droping for a better name for it though.
The group watchign Energon seems to be in the mid-40's. By the time we're done maybe we'll have a better handle on what to call it. "Magic rock" seems wrong somehow. -Derik 00:23, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Energon (Energon). The other could stand to be moved to Energon (fuel). —Interrobang 01:37, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

I want to call it "Elemental energy," a piece of fluff pseudo-science that seems to capture the feel of what it does pretty well, unfortunately AFAIK the only place that particular phrase was used in TF was on a Movie toy bio. ;p Was it ever described in more explicit terms in Super Link? -Derik 03:51, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Throwing this out[]

Energon doesn't have two broad types, it has THREE. (Oy!) Energon- the liquid fuel from 1984... is what is now generally referred to as 'synthetic energon' or an energon substitute-- any energy source can be turned into this fuel. REAL Energon, the stuff the synthetic stuff replaced-- Blachthorne's 3d #1 called this "True Energon", which is, AFAIK, the only term that exits for it. (It also mirros a classical distinction between Silver and True Silver- or Orichalcum. The "real silver" of which the thing we call Silver is but a echo.) Finally there's Rarefied Energon- the stuff that came directly from Primus and is the material sparks are made of, and at least SOME Transformer bodies. (Earth-built ones probably not- but in Reaching The Omega Point the +Covenant members were able to re-convert the material of their body from matter 'back to energy,' which was then... a fragment of Primus not just light and heat. So there's SOME validity in canon that this is a Real Thing.)

I'm inclined ot think that this article- the Energon from the Energon cartoon- refers to both Types 2 and 3. (JUST type 3 doesn't seem right.) The blue energon seems to have come DIRECTLY from Primus, and was so heavily guarded... ti just makes sense as being finite in the Multiverse. The other stuff- the crystals that grew in planets and stuff... somehow the ESSENTIAL LIFE-GIVING FORCE THAT SUSTAINS PLANETS is less important than that blue energon pool- or the stuff from the Energon Core (Primus.) That HAS to be True Energon, not the Rarefied (Primus) sort.

Anyone else have thoughts? Does my logic scan? -Derik 22:50, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
