Do you guys think I should bother scanning in that image of angry Cyclonus brooding in a chair from TF: Genesis? Not that I don't like the Pioneer DVD image (I uploaded that one myself) but that other pic is pretty sweet. Worth the effort? --DrSpengler 23:43, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

I love Cyclonus' box art. I hate you. And someday I will destroy you utterly. -LV 01:51, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Stuff[]

Oh Good, I was wonderign if Cyclonus had an article big enough to support all these pictures. The answer is apparently 'yes' Nice work McFeely -Derik 21:52, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

I was under the impression that Cyclonus, Scourge, and Galvatron were all considered to be the heralds of Unicron. Perhaps they weren't specifically named as such in the movie, but I thought that it was sort of a given that that's what they were. - Dark T Zeratul 10:44, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

We're supposed to stick with canonical information, not retarded fan terms years after the fact that aren't accurate to the actual meaning of the word. Singularity 14:19, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
I think, truthfully, in the movie Galvatron is the only herald, and the rest are his "troops to command." --ItsWalky 14:50, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
I still don't see how the movie guys are heralds. They weren't sent somewhere to prepare for Unicron's arrival; all Unicorn had them do was try to destroy the Matrix. Moot point, I guess, since the G1 Galvatron in the Armada comics actually was a herald. Singularity 17:03, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
For the record, Cyclonus is now included on the Heralds of Unicron page. - Dark T Zeratul 21:22, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Who is Cyclonus?[]

  1. This section is too long.
  2. It doesn't mention the HoC Cyclonus spec, which seems to present a sane perspective on the issue. (quoted here because Neale was X-no-archiving because he doesn't understand copyright law.) -Derik 23:42, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

It could probably be pared down a little, but in my opinion the section should be moderately long. Anyway, the HoC thing... so... what, it just ambiguously says he's made from dead guys? Like the TFU entry apparently does? Sure, that could stand to be mentioned. --Steve-o 04:41, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

The dead guys, plural, struck me as the relevant part here. This entire section hand-wrings over Skywarp-or-Bombshell, but we have a source explicitly saying he's not made from any single Decepticon. -Derik 18:04, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
We've had a source like that since 1986. It's the TFU profile, as noted already. -LV 20:27, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
*pretends he was aware of this.* I still feel the plurality issue if under-represented (being presented as if it was part of one of many viewpoints- not the only word of cannon in a vacuum.) -Derik 21:59, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

I just moved some text over from Cyclonus's Armada. I am curious about the statement here -- and it was also in the other article -- that there are "three" Sweeps shown through the movie. I know that in Season 3 there were way more than that. Did we really never get above three in the film itself? Has somebody carefully gone through and made sure that only three appear, or is this something where one time some random fan saw a shot that had three and was like, "oh hey the armada *became* a sweep" and then everybody just repeats that until the end of time? Also, would it be dumb to split this section off into its own page so it won't bog down the main Cyclonus article? --Steve-o 23:33, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Bombshell description[]

This comes from the comparison of Bombshell and Skywarp's personalities:

Other aspects of the argument make claims regarding the personalities of the characters; for example, Bombshell held a high-ranking position within Insecticons (alternating leadership with Shrapnel)...

So, what, Bombshell and Shrapnel just took turns bossing Kickback around? -- SFH 23:43, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

I thought that sounded strange when I read it. I've always considered Shrapnel the de facto leader behind the Insecticons... I don't really recall Bombshell ever calling the shots. Can someone point me to some episodes /comic issues where I can see this? Rose.T 16:34, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
The insecticons are hardly loyal to 'tron. Seekers were more notable, while insecticons were mostly background characters, even to the point where they had to clone theirselves to even be noticed,it would not make sense for a seeker to become a clone of the character that actually was part of a clone army. just my opinion though. Size Trivia[]

Cripes! What the hell is the matter with you people? "A lot of talking to say nothing." That's Detour's reason for deleting stuff. Nice fuckin' attitude I put it in the TRIVIA section because it's a trival fact, like much of this wiki, like many of the size issues people enter.

From Cosmic Rust: "Apparently, Blitzwing is large enough in flight mode to carry the Stunticons and Perceptor." Later in the same article, "Blitzwing is used as a means to transport Decepticons in a way that Astrotrain is usually used. He even mass shifts to become large enough to fit lots of Decepticons the way that Astrotrain does. It does make sense to use Blitzwing since Astrotrain is injured and so this is not an animation mistake, Blitzwing was meant to be used this way." From Kremzeek: Megatron rides inside Thrust to drop the box holding Kremzeek into Autobot headquarters. Since when can Megatron fit inside Thrust? From Make Tracks: In one infamous scene, Hoist is seen driving Huffer. From Day of the Machines: This episode marks the only time in the original animated series that Megatron shrank to a human adequate scale —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.36.44.57 (talkcontribs).

I've had stuff deleted before and I've had no problem, but don't delete stuff with smart ass comments like that simply because it's not up to your high standards. I deleted someone's fact and offered an explanation why and when I found it reinserted, I figured that the consensus didn't concur with my opinion and I left it alone. I DIDN'T GET INTO A FUCKING WAR WITH THEM. Get off your goddamm high horse. It's supposed to be fun facts. Go to the real wiki you wanna play sheriff for only the really important stuff

Things like animation errors, continuity errors and scale flubs are perfect for inclusion in the article for the episode it happened in, just as the examples you listed are. What you've been doing is putting an episode scale flub on a character page. --FortMax 02:33, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

That's because it involves the movie and the entire 3rd season where else would I put them? Second, My beef in Detours pissy attitude towards it. He didn't delete for any eloquent reason like you just stated. He just said it was "A lot of talking to say nothing." People should be more repectful than that. We're all adding stuff for free and just trying to contibute because we care. If I have to be insulted immaturely then I'm gonna repond immaturely. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.36.44.57 (talkcontribs).

To be fair- you did take an entire paragraph to say "Sometimes Cyclonus is big enough to carry other Transformers in his cockpit." -Derik 02:47, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Fine. Say it's too long, edit it down I've seen it done in articles all the time. Give a real reason and take out whatever you like. Don't just yank stuff and put in captions making the users sound like assholes for even daring to put anything in the first place. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.36.44.57 (talkcontribs).

The size-changing thing should stay in, precisely because it was SO conspicuous in Cyclonus' debut appearance. Honestly I don't see anything wrong with the original paragraph approach. --Thylacine 2000 03:38, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

hmm... the cockpit thing is frequent enough I'm not sure- but when he buzzes the Hall of Heroes and he's 20 times larger than all the other Decepticons... Cyclonus does get big. -Derik 03:57, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Arm Removal[]

Is it worth noting in the toy information that both of Cyclonus' arms are removable? It's even noted in his instruction booklet. Why you would want to remove his arms, as it has nothing to with his transformation, is beyond me though.88.202.52.8 11:26, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

The G1 movie teaches kids a valuable skill that not everyone possesses. The skill of using common sense. Since Thundercracker is Scourge, and a jet before and after....It makes sense that Skywarp is Cyclonus. Who was also a jet before and after. The insecticons never played a huge role in Season 1 and 2. Whilst Skywarp and Thundercracker did. Scourge and Cyclonus also play huge roles in Season 3 and 4 whilst the Sweeps don't play that much of a role in Season 3 and definately Season 4. If you truly wish Bombshell, a lowly insecticon to be one of the most infamous and bad ass Decepticons ever created, then by all means wish that. But common sense always prevails. And so does facts and evidence. 1) Jet / Jet 2) Major Character 3) Purple / Blue colour schemes 4) Lowly insecticons can be seen on the planet of junk and Unicron thinks making an insect into a jet is just plain silly so much that the very thought of fans in the future thinking Bombshell is Cyclonus causes Unicron to rip his own leg off instead of "The Matrix Of Leadership" due to frustration that humans believe what they see over using common sense.

…. Forgetting the fact that Megatron, Skywarp and Thundercracker equals Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge. Since there was no use of common sense when humans were thinking Bombshell is Cyclonus, Unicron ripped his own leg off and threw it at Cybertron in frustration and then proceeded to explode. It was revealed that this was the true reason for Unicrons destruction, not The Autobot Matrix of Leadership.

Anyone who is going to try to apply common sense to the Generation 1 cartoon... good luck, you will most definitely needed it. Gringo300 (talk) 02:32, March 21, 2013 (UTC)

Who is Cyclonus?[]

Cyclonus is clearly Skywarp. There's no doubt about it. Soulman190 23:07, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
