I added Akom's website in External links, but the website doesn't...do anything. It's just a graphic of the logo. Maybe they're still building it or something? --DrSpengler 22:23, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Odd question, but does anyone have a list of which Season 3 episodes were animated by Toei and which were animated by AKOM? Been kinda curious about that... Detour 00:12, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

  • look for the episodes with flatter colors and a lack of shading and shadows, and tendency to round off what would be represented by straight line, such as the edge optical sensors and the like, and you will see it,going back and watching season Two,the difference in quality of animation switching back and fort between Toei and Akom is patently obvious.

Season 2 episodes[]

Are we sure these three episodes were done by AKOM? According to this interview with production coordinator Paul Davids (which I can currently only access via Google cache, as the Cybertron Chronicle appears to be down), a third studio, from the Philippines, was also used. Three to four weeks 'in-house' to prepare character designs, backgrounds, color models, record voices and edit soundtrack, complete the storyboard, and ship the show to Korea or Japan (and a few times we used an animation facility in the Philippines). Since animation quality varies a lot throughout season 2 (the pinnacle being "Auto Berserk" and "Atlantis, Arise!"), my guess would be that "The Core", "The Autobot Run" and "City of Steel" were done by that unnamed studio from the Philippines (as it was supposedly only used "a few times"), whereas AKOM handled the more mediocre episodes from season 2. I mean, quality-wise, there's a huge leap from the likes of "The Core" to "Five Faces of Darkness".--Nevermore 19:28, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
