They're actually both looking for characterization.
Let's see what you can see...

This article is in need of images.

Specifics: Toy

Tackle is an Autobot from the Victory portion of Generation One continuity family.
AnimeTackle

No, Tacker is that other guy. The green one.

Tackle (タックル, ta-kku-ru) combines with his erstwhile partner Mach to form the robot Machtackle and separately serves as the left leg of Landcross. Tackle is brains, capable of discussing geology or physics with equal ease, though most often he ends up having to explain both to Mach. A speed demon who prefers fighting in his vehicle mode, Tackle more often than not serves as the legs to Machtackle. When not being ordered off the front lines that is.

Fiction

Victory cartoon

Voice actor: Shinobu Satouchi (Japan)

Tackle defeated the Breastforce member Killbison without having to fire a single shot by making him so dizzy the Decepticon simply collapsed. Considering the usual combat effectiveness of the Breastforce members, this is an accomplishment on par with Davidbot versus Goliathtron. Later he trounced Jarugar, teaching him how to impersonate an ostrich. Pretty impressive work for a pair of pants.

Toys

Victory

  • Machtackle (1989)
Japanese ID number: C-318
Tackle transforms into an orange and blue truck . He came packaged with his partner, Mach, or as part of the complete Landcross giftset.

Micromaster Collection

  • Tackle (Micromaster, 2002)
A reissue of Tackle, this version replaces the stickers with paint applications.

Notes

  • The animation model for Tackle's vehicle mode looks strikingly like a less-chibified version of Gears.

You will be whole again. I promise.
I cannot remain in this unacceptable operational status!
