In addition to what is presumably the living quarters of the Sumdac family, Sumdac Tower also includes Professor Sumdac's penthouse office and his private laboratory, where he keeps the severed head of Megatron as well as Megatron's severed hand—which he uses as a chair. Transform and Roll Out!

Whenever the tower is under attack, it engages an automatic force field to protect those inside the building. Good idea if you're under siege from the bad guys. Bad idea if the bad guy is already in there. Total Meltdown

Sumdac Tower suffered quite a bit of damage when the Decepticons mobilized to steal the AllSpark and rescue Megatron. Starscream blew a large hole in it, Megatron burst through the roof, and the Decepticons then fired missiles at it. That's probably going to send the property values of the nearby buildings down. Even after Megatron's rampage, the building was still under reconstruction. Mainly, it had a notable gap in the upper part of the tower. The Elite Guard

After Porter C. Powell took over Sumdac Systems, he kicked Sari out of the penthouse and gave her room to Henry Masterson. He also informed Optimus Prime that the Autobots were no longer welcome in the tower. The tower was completely repaired by this point. The Return of the Headmaster
