Sonic, founded as Sonic Drive-In and more commonly known as Sonic (stylized in all caps) or "Sonic Drive-In", is an American drive-in fast-food chain owned by Inspire Brands, the parent company of Arby's, Dunkin', Baskin-Robbins, Mister Donut, Buffalo Wild Wings and Jimmy John's. Sonic, founded by Troy N. Smith, Sr., opened its first location in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1953, under the name Top Hat Drive-In.
Sonic promoted Transformers: The Last Knight with special limited edition slushes. Sonic also promoting toys based on Transformers: EarthSpark.
