This article is about Slipstream, a Decepticon Seeker from Transformers: War for Cybertron.. For {{{2}}}, see [[{{{3}}}]].

Slipstream is an Autobot mini-con partnered with Jetstorm and under the command of his master Drift.

"Jetstorm, that is not true." when Jetstorm says he is a total disappointment.

History[]

Back on Cybertron, Slipstream and Jetstorm used to resort to the lives of thieving until they were saved by Drift.

Robots in Disguise[]

Season 1[]

In Hunting Season, Slipstream and Jetstrom went with their master to Earth to collect a bounty on Bumblebee but faced against Fracture and his Mini-Cons in Hunting Season. Slipstream took on Divebomb until Sideswipe came in. When the Decepticons retreated, Drift and his Mini-Cons went with the Autobots back to their base. Slipstream and Jetstorm were kept entertained by Russell and Fixit. Later, Slipstream and Jetstorm reattached themselves to Drift when Fixit detected a Cybertronian life signal, and later when Fracture attacked, Drift ordered the pair to protect Bumblebee. Despite their orders, the two Mini-Cons were drawn to protect Russell and Fixit from the Decepticon Mini-Cons. During a distraction, the pair hijacked Fracture's ship, freeing the captured Autobots and using it to threaten Fracture. Unfortunately they crashed the ship, but they did get some rare praise from Drift before they left the planet.

In One of Our Mini-Cons Is Missing, when Jetstorm went missing, Slipstream and Drift followed his trail to Earth. They found Jetstorm with Russell, along with Denny, Bumblebee and the other Autobots. Drift agreed to go with his students in a mission with the Autobots in recapturing Quillfire and Springload, who commandeered a giant tank. During the mission, Slipstream attempted to reason with Jetstorm on making things up with Drift. Jetstorm revealed that he left because he polished Drift's swords wrong. The Autobots were soon able to overpower and recapture the pair with the aid of Drift's students. Drift accepted Jetstorm's apology after learning why he ran away. Drift also decided that he and his students should remain on Earth to learn more from Bumblebee and his team.

In Deep Trouble, Slipstream and Jetstorm took part in a little obstacle course in the scrapyard. The pair, along with Sideswipe, Strongarm, and Grimlock evade the obstacles in their race. Slipstream celebrated with Jetstrom as they finished the course successfully, which also impressed Drift. Later, Slipstream and Jetstorm went with the team in a mission to the bottom of the ocean to capture Octopunch. The team managed to follow Octopunch inside the ship that he was planning to use to escape Earth and moved through the ship's corridors. However, Slipstream, Jetstorm, Drift, and Sideswipe were trapped in a part of the ship's corridors. To pass the time, they decided to meditate on their situation with some distractions by Slipstream, Jetstorm, and Sideswipe, which made Drift scold them for it. They were freed when the ship was going to self-destruct and escaped with the other Autobots, while carrying the incapciated Octopunch, back to the scrapyard.

In The Trouble with Fixit, Slipstream and Jetstorm aided the Autobots in searching for Fixit in the scrapyard and they both assisted Sideswipe in finding Fixit in the woods. They found Fixit at the crash site, where the Alchemor had landed, and strangley found him sticking in one place as he repeated the word "escape".  When a bear attacked and made Sideswipe fall unconscious, both Jetstorm and Slipstream tried to draw the creature to combat. The bear ended up throwing Jetstorm and chasing after Slipstream, to which it was hit over a fallen tree and retreated. After Sideswipe knocked Fixit out of his vocal rut, they brought Fixit back the base to get checked on. Slipstream and Jetstorm aided Denny Clay in operating on Fixit but were forced to leave when they start chattering about the delicateness of the procedure. Slipstream and Jetstorm were the first ones to be blasted by Fixit when the Mini-Con reverted to his original command programming. Later, Slipstream and Jetstorm were trapped with their master in containment fields but soon were freed as they joined in a chase of getting to Chop Shop and Fixit. Slipstream was tangled in a dogpile as the Autobots piled on top of Fixit but failed. After Fixit was repaired back to normal by Denny, the team were relieved to see Fixit back to his self again.

In Lockout, Slipstream and Jetstorm were deployed to attack Fracture's Mini-Cons while the other Autobots, Denny and Russell prevented the Decepticons from unleasing the Decepticon prisoners that were in stasis pods.

In Similarly Different, Slipstream and Jetstorm took part in hunting for Scowl. In a conversation about mentorship with Grimlock, Drift mentions it has its difficulties, to which both Slipstream and Jetstorm argue about who their master was referring to. The pair aided the Autobots in directing the position to reroute a train and soon went to prevent Scowl from wrecking up a spa. In the showers, Slipstream and Jetstorm were frightened and it resulted in their master getting clobbered by Scowl.

In The Buzz on Windblade, Slipstream and Jestorm disabled to the power system to help capture Zizza, which they both high fived each other in their success.

In Ghosts and Impostors, Slipstream and Jetstorm went with the team to a town called Edmondville in Bumblebee's hopes of making an impression on them on how enjoyable Earth can be. After harmlessly pranking some human tourtists away and witnessing their master pretend to be a ghost (which made the other Autobots and Drift's pupils laugh), the team was on a hunt for Pseudo. When Pseudo disguised himself to look like Drift, the real Drift deployed Slipstream and Jetstorm to prove it was him while Pseudo could not deploy at all which gave him away. The team chased Pseudo and after being tossed by Grimlock at Pseudo, both Slipstream and Jetstorm managed to hit the Decepticon before he could escape.

In Battlegrounds, Part 1, both Slipstream and Jetstorm reattached themselves to Drift in saving Sideswipe, Strongarm, and Windblade from the Decepticons.

In Battlegrounds, Part 2, both Slipstream and Jetstorm were opted to face against Megatronus in order to protect their master and the other Autobots. They were saved from doing so by Optimus Prime, who fought Megatronus while they tend to their master. During a fight with Steeljaw's pack, Drift deployed Slipstream and Jetstorm to fight Clampdown. Later, they helped take off the statue's arm with the help of Sideswipe, Drift, and Windblade, to which they managed to drop it onto Megatronus. Drift and his students decided to continue their education beside Bumblebee along with the other Autobots.

Season 2[]

In Overloaded, Part 1, Slipstream and Jetstorm listened to Optimus tell old war stories. When Drift was assigned to an "away team" to hunt Decepticons far from the scrapyard, the two Mini-Cons naturally went along as well — during the first mission to the Arctic, they had to help Optimus after the Autobot, weakened after the Primes took away his extra power, was left clinging to a cliff.

In Overloaded, Part 2, they were able to prevent Optimus from falling, but later became frozen to Drift's arms and unable to be deployed.

In Cover Me, Drift unleashed the pair on Swelter and Glacius, but the evil Mini-Cons turned out to be too much for them to handle. They accompanied the Autobots to a military base, where they were trapped in a metal cocoon with their master and Sideswipe.

In Graduation Exercises, while investigating possible interference with one of Windblade's caches, Sideswipe fell for the cache's force field. After checking the cache, Optimus's team soon found themselves up against Stockade and his army of Mini-Cons. Slipstream and Jetstorm disregarded their master's order to link back up, indirectly resulting in Drift sustaining an injury. The guilty pair ended up trapped in an armory with Sideswipe, where they not only told Sideswipe about their mistake but also realized they were able to link up with the Autobot. After the trio aided the rest of the team, resulting in Stockade's defeat, Drift told the two Mini-Cons that their training was complete, however they both insisted on remaining his students.

In Decepticon Island (Part 1), Slipstream and Jetstorm were present when the Autobots ran into Ratchet, who promptly joined the team. Drift carried them as the Autobots used a ruse to infiltrate the wreck of the Alchemor, which was being used as a base by a group of Decepticons.

In Decepticon Island (Part 2), as Drift and Ratchet attempted to rescue a captive Windblade, the two Mini-Cons were able to deploy and avoid being trapped in a stasis pod with their master. They freed their fellow Autobots who were able to defeat Overload, and the group escaped from the ship before the cryo-gas bomb placed everyone on board in stasis. Drift and his Mini-Cons later opted to stay on Earth under Bumblebee's command.

Seaon 2 1/2[]

In History Lessons, during a visit to Autobot Outpost Omega One, Drift's students were deployed to assist in battling the automated defenses, and later attempted to assist in a fight against Paralon and Buzzstrike.

In Strongarm's Big Score, after a training exercise went wrong, Jetstorm and Slipstream bravely threatened the training drone's severed head.

In Pretzel Logic, during a fight with Tricerashot, Slipstream and Jetstorm charged at him from either side and were knocked out when he jumped out of their way and let them run into each other.

In Mighty Big Trouble, after a mishap with a high energy pulse generator provoked another wisecrack from Sideswipe at the Mini-Cons' expense, leaving Fixit, Jetstorm and Slipstream angry at him. Following a temporary invasion of the scrapyard by the Weaponizer Mini-Cons, the trio were mistakenly captured by Starscream's men, and used as leverage to force Bumblebee to turn himself over.

In Mini-Con Madness, while imprisoned aboard Starscream's ship, Slipstream and Fixit succeeded in getting Jetstorm out via a ceiling vent.

In Worthy, Jetstorm returned to release his fellow Mini-Cons, and they freed Bumblebee as well. During the ensuing fight, Jetstorm and Slipstream took out Shadelock, but were only saved from being zapped by Roughedge when Sideswipe threw himself in front of the blast. Following Starscream's eventual defeat, the pair volunteered to team up with Sideswipe for a while.

Season 3[]

In King of the Hill (Part 1), Slipstream and Jetstorm helped Russell train for his championship game.

In Defrosted, during some training, Grimlock became impressed with the moves the Mini-Con were showing off, and asked to become Drift's pupil too. Slipstream and Jetstorm later watched as Drift resignedly agreed that Grimlock had graduated.

In Sphere of Influence, the two Mini-Cons successfully took down Zorillor after the Skunkticon sprayed Drift with blinding gunk. During a mission to capture Springload, the Mini-Cons were assigned the task of wrapping the Sphere of Doradus in tin foil in an attempt to block its strange energies. Unfortunately this didn't work all that well.

In Bee Cool, the diminutive duo also helped save Bumblebee from a nasty fall during a fight against Dragstrip and Wildbreak.

In Out of the Shadows, when Shadow Raker turned up on Earth seeking the return of Slipstream and Jetstorm, Drift forbade the pair from fighting. They came up with a plan of their own, and when Shadow Raker captured them, Slipstream pretended to be loyal to the Con, divulging the location of a stash of Shanix which kept the Con on Earth long enough to be defeated.

In Disordered Personalities, the two Mini-Cons ran into problems working with Grimlock after the Dinobot was mind-swapped with Drift. Unable to link with him, they had to ride on his back during a mission to defeat the Stunticons.

In Guilty as Charged, Drift deployed Jetstorm and Slipstream to attack Blastwave, but the pair were simply swatted aside by their opponent.

In Railroad Rage, while cleaning Drift's katana, Slipstream accidentally shattered it by using the wrong cleaner. Sideswipe helped him cover it up, until Drift inevitably found out during their mission to prevent the Stunticons from stealing the power source of a maglev train. Seeing Sideswipe cop the blame forced Slipstream to confess and he redeemed himself in the end.

In Combine and Conquer, the two Mini-Cons helped pull a crashed truck to safety after the Stunticons ran it off the road.

In Moon Breaker, when Optimus recruited Drift for a mission, his two students naturally accompanied him.

In Freedom Fighters, during Bee Team's mission to expose the new council, Drift deployed Slipstream and Jetstorm, and they were able to disable the Light Benders the council were using, revealing them to be a group of Decepticons. Cyclonus ordered the other Decepticons to take the two Mini-Cons prisoner, but ended up blasting the pair when they turned out to be too tricky to catch. They recovered in time to help Drift defeat Riotgear. In the aftermath of the battle, Optimus appointed Bee Team ambassadors to Earth. They returned to the scrapyard, where Drift told his students to observe Sideswipe and Strongarm as an example of how not to behave as members of a team.

Slipstream as a toddler.

As revealed from The Tragedy of Slipstream, Slipstream grew up on Luna 1. He led a happy childhood in Helpful City until he was attacked by Cyclones in Serenity Yard. They stole from him his first ball bearing. Emotionally wounded by the assault, he turned to a life of petty theft to fill the void left inside him.

In The Power of Dibs, when Slipstream and Jetstorm were getting ready to watch a movie, Sideswipe taught them about the concept of "dibs." Slipstream was quite impressed by Sideswipe's ability to have first claim to anything by uttering a single word, declaring him "most powerful." Fixit then detected that the Cyclones Backtrack and Ransack were on the loose and informed the entire Bee Team as much. Slipstream called "dibs" on recapturing the Cyclones. Though Bumblebee was concerned with letting him take on the job, Drift allowed Slipstream to take on such a heavy burden on his own.

In The Tragedy of Slipstream, hearing someone following him, Slipstream turned and struck his stalker, discovering it to be Jetstorm, concerned for his friend. Slipstream explained that his need to bring the Cyclones to justice stemmed from his childhood trauma when Jetstorm insisted to go along with him.

In A Level Playing Field, the pair soon crossed paths with their quarry, as well as the Decepticon Mini-Cons pursuing them. Though Slipstream informed them that he had already called "dibs" on the Cyclones, the Decepticons insisted on fighting over them nonetheless. Slipstream took on Airazor while Jetstorm battled Divebomb. But when Slipstream was accidentally knocked into a rock mound built by the Cyclones during the brawl, the unaligned Mini-Cons turned their firepower on the other four, forcing them to take cover together.

In Two Plus Two Equals More, insisting that the Decepticons find their own place to hide, Slipstream instigated a brawl with the Decepticons again, culminating into a slap-fight. Jetstorm put an end to it, and told Slipstream that, though true he had called "dibs" on the Cyclones, his claim was meaningless if they were all in pieces. Working together, the four aligned Mini-Cons managed to take out the two unaligned ones. Though Slipstream and Jetstorm then informed Airazor and Divebomb that they were obligated to take them in, the Decepticons invoked the ancient Earth tradition of "Not it!" allowing them to walk away. When Slipstream and Jetstorm returned to base with the Cyclones in hand, they were met with a surprise hug from Drift. Their teacher quickly regained his composure, though he admitted that he was glad his students had made it back safely.

Personality[]

Slipstream is a more calm Mini-Con and fairly lighthearted at times. He seems to be a skillful combatant mostly against Fracture's mini-cons. He knows his master does not give praise easily and tries to cheer his fellow partner Jetstorm up, which he also appears to be a little older than Jetstorm. Drift still stated both Slipstream and Jetstorm have much to learn. Slipstream knows to follow his master and protect his teammates no matter the cost.

Powers and Abilities[]

Slipstream, along with his fellow partner Jetstorm, is able to get in any situations that are Mini-Con sized conflicts. He is also equipped with one blade that he frequently uses in combat.

Relationships[]

Allies[]

Drift[]

Drift is Slipstream's master and mentor. Drift had saved both Slipstream and Jetstorm from lives of petty thieving. He knows his master does not give praise so easily and tries, along with Jetstorm, in trying their best in certain tasks and doing whatever possible in missions. Slipstream and Jetstorm transform into Drift's forearm plates. Drift respects, protects, and cares for both Jetstorm and Slipstream. In Graduation Exercises, after a mistake that placed Drift in danger, Slipstream and Jetstorm revealed to Sideswipe that they ignored their master to prove themselves against Stockade and his Mini-Con troops. They made up for their mistake by assisting in defeating Stockade and his troops. Drift stated his students were finished with their training but his Mini-Cons insisted that they stay by him.

Drift acts a lot like a father figure to Slipstream.

Jetstorm[]

Jetstorm is Slipstream's fellow partner and comrade. They both try the best of their ability to please their master in any task, test, and in missions. Slipstream and Jetstorm would often celebrate in most occasions when it was the right time and place. In Graduation Exercises, they both felt deep regret in getting their master in danger that they indirectly were involved. However, they made up for their error by defeating Stockade and his Mini-Con troops. They both also insisted on staying by Drift's side when Drift stated their training was finished.

Jetstorm seems to be younger than Slipstream, since he would also advise, care, and look out Slipstream. Jetstorm is like a younger brother to Slipstream.

Russell Clay[]

Slipstream and Jetstorm were both aided by Russell in getting Drift to compliment them. They referred to him as "commander" Russell. Slipstream and Russell appear to get along quite well in their friendship.

Fixit[]

Since he is another fellow Mini-Con, Fixit appears to get along well with both Slipstream. They look out for each other and are close friends.

Denny Clay[]

Slipstream interacts the least with Denny. While attempting to aid Denny Clay in repairing Fixit, Slipstream and Jetstorm were forced to leave after discussing possible scenarios about the result of the procedure. However, they remain close friends.

Bumblebee[]

Bumblebee acts like another mentor to Slipstream. He respects, cares, and looks out for him.

Sideswipe[]

Sideswipe's insult to Slipstream, Jetstorm, and Fixit left them to be angry at Sideswipe. However, Sideswipe proved his apology by taking a blast that was meant for Jetstorm and Slipstream from Roughedge. The Mini-Cons accepted it and Slipstream appears to be even closer to Sideswipe as he wanted to ride with him with Jetstorm.

Sideswipe appears to get along with Slipstream. He acts like an older brother to him as he cares, respects, and watches out for him.

Strongarm[]

Slipstream interact very little with Strongarm. However, she acts like an older sister to him as she also cares, respects, and looks out for him.

Grimlock[]

Jetstorm has a good friendship with Grimlock as he cares and respects Slipstream.

Windblade[]

Windblade cares and looks after Slipstream as an ally and teammate.

Optimus Prime[]

Optimus told Slipstream, Jetstorm, and Strongarm some of his old war tales in Overloaded, Part 1. Optimus regards Slipstream with respect and looks out for him.

Enemies[]

Divebomb and Airazor[]

Slipstream is seen to battle Fracture's Mini-Cons along with Jetstorm. He dislikes them, mainly because of their actions and dirty tricks. Airazor appears to be an evil version of Slipstream.

Megatronus[]

Slipstream and Jetstorm boldly stood to face Megatronus to prevent him from getting anywhere near their master and the other Autobots. The pair was saved from fighting Megatronus by Optimus Prime.
