They're actually both looking for characterization.
Let's see what you can see...

This article is in need of images.

Skull Buster is a Unicron-allied Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Skull Buster is a member of the Aerial Extermination Mini-Con Team, and a personal attendant to Nemesis Prime. A one-robot wrecking crew, this brutal 'bot can and will perform a dictionary's worth of violent verbs on a victim (though if he'd know what the words meant is anyone's guess). Extremely monomaniacal, he won't let up on a target until they're reduced to their base parts.

Of course, groups of targets are another matter entirely... [1]

Japanese name: Mad

Fiction[]

Armada cartoon continuity[]

Skull Buster is never seen as an individual, only as part of the combined Vorpal Saber sword. Puppet Linkage Part 11

Toys[]

Armada[]

  • Air Assault Micron (Mini-Con pack, 2003)
Japanese ID number: MM-17
Skull Buster/Mad is a redeco of the Air Defense Mini-Con Team member Jetstorm, transforming into a Concorde Super Sonic Transport jet plane. He also forms the lower-blade to the Vorpal Saber sword, which can be held by any other Transformer that has 5mm fist-holes. This toy is largely identical to the Hasbro "Air Assault" version of Jetstorm, but uses transparent plastic with a hint of purple instead of the Hasbro version's opaque off-white. He came with his partners Jackknife and Maverick.
This mold was also retooled to make Energon Scattor, Quantum, and Cybertron Thrust.
  • Rampage & Hawk w/ Air Assault Micron (Multi-pack, 2003)
Japanese ID number: MS-08
The Air Assault Mini-Cons were also made available in a multi-pack with the Takara release of Wheeljack and Wind Sheer.
