Seaspray was an Autobot Wrecker who might have specialized in underwater combat during the Great War on Cybertron. Seaspray's ship was seen in Transformers Prime, but Seaspray himself didn't make a physical appearance. Seaspray had fought alongside Wheeljack and Bulkhead during the war. Bulkhead referred to him as "ol' Barnacle butt" when Wheeljack mentioned Seaspray, only for him to explain that Seaspray was sadly terminated by Dreadwing.
Seaspray was only mentioned by Wheeljack. In the Autobot base, Wheeljack explained to the other Autobots that he met up with Seaspray during his travel in the galaxy. They made contact but their transmission was intercepted by Dreadwing. Seaspray's ship was destroyed by one of Dreadwing's proximity bombs, which showed Seaspray being killed by the explosion. Wheeljack explained that it was supposed to kill both of them, but thankfully Wheeljack's ship was able to take a blast from the explosion. Seeking to avenge his fallen comrade, Wheeljack picked up on Dreadwing's trail which led him back to Earth. Wheeljack later mentioned Seaspray again along with the following Wreckers who died in combat to Bulkhead. Bulkhead, Arcee, and Optimus are seen to take a moment of silence after Wheeljack told them about Seaspray's demise.
- Seaspray was to appear in season 3, but was cut for time constraints. He would have ejected from the ship before the bomb detonated, but it was not seen on screen. Had he appeared, he would apparently have been cast as the "toughest Wrecker".
- Seaspray's ship looks like Wheeljack's ship, only with a different paint job.
- Cliffjumper and Tailgate died on their first debut on the show, which leaves Seaspray to die but not make a physical appearance.
