This article is about the Generation One series Insecticlone. For the Armada-series Mini-Con, see Servo.
Salvos are Decepticon Insecticons from the Generation One continuity family.

"Wait a minute! Wait. Wait. I'm having a thought. Oh yes. Oh yes. I'm going to have a thought. It's coming. It's coming... It's gone."

Salvos (サルボー) are clones of the Insecticon Bombshell. Though they are almost physically identical to Bombshell, with the same powers, their individual intelligence is far too low (to the point of almost non-existence) to be effective as little more than a mass army used to bludgeon enemy fortifications with their horn-mounted dart guns. Though they are fairly sturdy, should Bombshell's control-beams be interrupted, they will instantly crumble into a pile of component parts.

Technically, the Salvos have never appeared in any fictions, as this specific coloration has never been used. However, the Salvo designation can be considered retroactive, so any appearance of the Bombshell-model Insecticlones can be considered a Salvo appearance.

Generation OneEdit

  • Insectron Clone Army (multi-pack, 2004)
    • Japanese ID number: 74 (individual), 76 (clones set)
    • Accessories: "Bipartite Ion Impulse Blaster" (二連イオンインパルス・ブラスター), energon cube
A redeco of the Insecticon Bombshell mold, Salvo transforms into a mechanical rhino beetle. The "control seat" in the insect-mode back / robot-mode chest can open up and store one of the three energon cubes that come with the set. Salvo was only available in the e-Hobby exclusive set with Shothole and Zaptrap.

  • Salvo's coloration is based on the original pre-Transformers Diaclone "Waruder Kabutron" version of the mold.
