This article is about the Malignus Mini Vehicle. For the Bat-Robô, see Pick-Up (Bat-Robô).

Pick-Up is a Malignus from the Generation One series.

On the rocks. AH-HAAAAH, God I'm funny!

Pick-Up is a member of the evil Malignus, who is opposed by the heroic Optimus robots.

Note: The toys from the Brazilian sub-series commonly referred to as "Optimus vs. Malignus" do not have bios, but share the same names and molds as previous (factionless) Brazilian releases that used the same bios as their Hasbro counterparts, only in Portugese. As such, it's possible that Pick-Up is basically "evil Gears". This also raises the possibility that the "good/evil" designations are retroactive for the Brazilian toys....

Generation One

  • Pick-Up (Mini Vehicle, 1985)
A redeco of the Mini Vehicle Gears, Pick-Up transforms into a pickup truck of unidentified (probably made-up) model. He was released only in Brazil by Estrela, and was available in two different color schemes: light green with purple robot parts, and dark "wine" with maroon. He also has a new "Malignus" faction sigil decal in robot mode.
All of the "Optimus/Malignus" Mini Vehicle releases are considered fairly rare, and go for a fairly high price on the secondary market, particularly the secondary color schemes; in this instance, the wine/maroon Pick-Up goes for more than the green/purple.
This mold was also used to make Small Foot, and retooled to make Swerve.
