A Non-Biological Extraterrestrial (alternately Non-Biological Entity), or N.B.E. (try to keep up with the acronyms), is Sector Seven's designation for the mysterious Transforming robots they've been investigating. They dug the first one out of the ice over a hundred years ago, and they've been preparing for others to arrive ever since. The designation seems to suggest that the government is also aware of biological extraterrestrials.
Each N.B.E. has been given a identifying number in sequence of their discovery:
- N.B.E.-01 - Megatron
- N.B.E.-02 - Bumblebee (originally given to Optimus Prime)
- N.B.E.-03 - Wreckage
- N.B.E.-04 - Barricade
- N.B.E.-23 - Blackout
