Munka Spanka hurdles

If your name was "Munka Spanka", you'd have a lot of experience running away, too.

Munka Spanka won a race in the Galactic Olympics, much to Blurr's dismay. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 1

  • The being who wins the race immediately prior to Munka Spanka's victory being declared uses Jazz's character model in both vehicle and robot mode. Notably, though, the action cuts away from the race to a scene on Cybertron before returning to the games, at which point Munka's victory is announced. So maybe, just maybe, the announcer could be reading out the results of another race, and Munka isn't Jazz's identical twin, and... ahh, who are we kidding? This is "Five Faces of Darkness" we're talkin' about, here. It was probably meant to be Jazz at one point. Many fans claim, with no evidence, that the name change is somehow related to the death of Jazz's voice actor, Scatman Crothers, even though Munka doesn't speak. In Japan, at any rate, the character is identified as Jazz with his Japanese market's name "Meister".
