Stolen Toy infoEdit

Is bad. We don't put it on here. Please don't do it again. --M Sipher 03:59, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

I understand now. Sorry, I didn't no it is stolen info. --TX55 06:27, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

PNG filesEdit

It is preferable to upload jpegs instead (unless an image is a chart or something that needs to be very clear), because .png files are several times as large as jpeg files. I recommend you re-upload all of the screen captures you have already uploaded as jpegs. Thanks. --FFN 17:27, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I got it. --TX55 17:31, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
I'd also say they could stand to be larger in the visual sense. I don't think we have a real standard, but I usually go for 500 pixels wide on the long side as a good trade-off between the required "low resolution" and the image actually being clear and visible. -- Repowers 17:34, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I'm afraid that I can only get the 315*240 files at present time. --TX55 17:44, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Kansai? Edit

Why include a link to a page about the Kansai dialect when Teletran 15 specifically speaks in a Kyushu dialect? If there's no page on Kyushu dialect available, a Kansai dialect page still isn't going to be of much use, is it?--Apcog 14:40, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Ouch, I was too careless. Thanks for correction. :D --TX55 14:51, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Headmaster Edit

Hi, can you please port my changes over to Headmaster (technology). Thanks. --MistaTee 16:13, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

No problem, just done. ^_^ --TX55 16:15, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! --MistaTee 16:15, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

You're welcome. ;D --TX55 16:17, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Chinese names Edit

Why are you reverting that guy's addition of the names used by characters in China? It's just as legit as the Japanese, Brazilian, Hungarian or French-Canadian aliases used by characters. --Detour 07:51, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Names in Chinese-speaking region is somehow... a little bit chaotic, even thought the formal names exist, not every media use the same names. For example, TV use the A set while some magazines use the B set. Also, the anonymous user's edits are not so correct. I will try to rewrite about it. :) ps. IIRC, those names should be used in Taiwan instead of China. --TX55 07:59, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

About Chinese names, I have a question for you. In this article here, it seems to suggest that one possible ... translation? transliteration? for Optimus Prime's mainland Chinese name (柯柏文) is "Kēbówén"? Am I interpreteing this correctly? It was listed as "Al Part Man" on the wiki, which looks very strange to me, but I left it on his page for now and added "Kēbówén" next to it. What are your thoughts? --Monzo 05:49, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh, about that. ^^ "Kēbówén" is Cantonese name in Hong Kong, which is pronounced as "O Baak Man" <!--k is "mute"-->(it is suggested that it is derived from "OP Prime" or "Optimum"). Which means, it is some sort of translated name based on pronunciation of original English name.  :D
ps. O Baak Man is the Cantonese name for:
  • G1 Optimus Prime (Hong Kong only)
  • Energon Optimus Prime (Taiwan and HK)
  • Cybertron Optimus Prime (Taiwanese catalog and HK)
  • Movie Optimus Prime (Taiwan and HK)
  • Animated Optimus Prime (Taiwan and HK)

--TX55TALK 14:54, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Japanese nameEdit

Why are you moving stuff around in the lists of foreign names? They're placed in alphabetical order. --ItsWalky 15:00, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Ooh, I thought we could place the Japanese name(if exist) in the first 'cause the Jp name is much commonly seen. As for the other foreign names, well, I think I probably messed in some way. Thanks for notice. :D --TX55 16:34, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

中文版 Edit

你要不要做一個中文版變形金鋼啊?--KJ@fandom(talk) 10:07, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

嗯嗯,好啊。^^ 詳細的問題已經回信到妳的PTT信箱中了唷。 --TX55 11:53, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Sideswipe Edit

I put a delete tag on the Sideswipe photo you uploaded (It's actually from because, well, its just a repainted Sunstreaker prototype, not Sideswipe. Its best not to use photos (even official photos) when things are so obviously wrong. --FFN 11:56, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Oh wait, you didn't know. The 'Sideswipe' in the official Hasbro photos is simply a Sunstreaker they repainted. They displayed the real Sideswipe prototype at BotCon. He has a new head and hands. --FFN 11:59, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Okay, I understand. :) And thank you for the correct information. ;D (Thank God Sideswipe really gets a new head.) --TX55 12:35, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
In case you haven't seen it, this is Sideswipe's real head. --FFN 14:38, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Wow, Thanks again. Appreciate t that. ^_^ --TX55 15:08, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Unnecessary Categories Edit

Alright what categories are unnecessary by your definition. What i see is articles lacking the proper characters. Such as G1 characters who dont list G1 characters in their categories, characters who are decepticon/autobot and are not on the autobot/decepticon categories. So plz inform me what it is you want, im trying to bring some order to these incomplete articles.

Master Sword/BladeEdit

Do you have an image of the Master Sword to use? The text specified that the image you removed was actually the Master Blade. --Sntint 15:51, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

No, I don't owned one by far, but I am trying to find one ASAP. :-D --TX55TALK 16:35, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Nexus ZeroEdit

So, like... a year ago, you posted some information to Talk:Nexus Zero about how it and Nexus Earth were part of an interstellar transit network, the Earth nexus was destroyed along with the Metal Hunter, and so on. Someone else immediately incorporated it into the article, and it's never been questioned, but I can't find any evidence for it. You storylinked Other Victories, but the only relevant part of that episode I know of is the Vok conversation in the very beginning, which only supports the idea that Nexus Earth was "closed," and none of the rest. So I excised all the questionable stuff from the article, but I'd like to know if I was wrong in doing so. Am I forgetting some part of the episode, or does the info come from somewhere else entirely? - Jackpot 20:42, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Repowers has answered in the article's talk page. :D As for the source, the words in the talk page is directly translated from the Beast Wars Universe. --TX55TALK 22:56, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Is this translation online somewhere? Or did you translate it yourself, from your own copy? The only online translation I can find is the DiTillio bit, which doesn't contain that passage. - Jackpot 23:59, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
I translated it by myself from the real book. The text file and the passage I translated belongs to two different sections. :) --TX55TALK 03:25, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Ah, okay, good to know. Which section did it come from? I ask because at least one portion of the book (the DiTillio info) is not considered canon here, so I want to be sure exactly where this information is coming from before incorporating it back into the article. - Jackpot 05:28, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
It comes from the glossary section along with the minor characters and other in-show elements within the Character Information section. It is canonical, well, at least not been retconned yet by far. ;-) --TX55TALK 05:41, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks! - Jackpot 06:14, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
You are welcome! ^_^ --TX55TALK 06:37, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

TX, the nickname sections at the beginning of articles are not for nicknames taken from within stories. They are for nicknames given in the early Transformers Universe profiles printed in Transformers Comic Magazine - see here for example. That's why I removed Ramjet and Cliffjumper's nicknames before, and added expository notes to all the others explaining them. --Monzo 13:52, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I understand now. I thought previously the definition includes both TFU and in-story. Thank you! ;-D --TX55TALK 13:57, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

OK TX55, we've reverted each other twice now. I have Visualworks, and I have every TV Magazine from October 1985 to February 1996. The statement "Note that the book features most— meaning not all—of the artwork from the TV Magazine, Comic Bom Bom, LD covers and other sources" is factually inaccurate. I'd say that the visualworks has less than half of the artwork from TV Magazine. I can post a ton of examples if you want. Is there any coherent reason why we should have a statement in this wiki that's demonstrably incorrect? Why not just go with my version, which substitutes "Studio OX" for "TV Magazine"? --Jimsorenson 17:47, 3 September 2008 (UTC) (duplicating from the talk there)

The "Note that the book features...other sources" means the source of those artworks includes TV Magazine, Comic Bom Bom, LD covers, and several other sources. In my opinion, if we just use "Studio OX, Comic Bom Bom, LD covers", that would omit Ban Magami's work, since the art from TV Magazine contains the works of Studio OX and Ban Magami's illustrations. Also, Studio OX's work appears not only in TV Magazine but also in Comic Bom Bom. --TX55TALK 22:43, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
You're not saying what you mean to say. Saying that the book contains most of the artwork from TV Magazine means just that - it contains more than half of the artwork from TV Magazine. Since that's demonstrably false, we can't say that. I'm taking another stab at rewriting this to meet your objections in a way that is accurate. --Jimsorenson 22:53, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Login opinion?Edit

I posted an opinion about switching to login only on the Community page. Have you had a chance to check it out? If so, what's your take on it? I'm interested to know. Shawn (talk) 18:01, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

More specifically, would you like to become one? I've been seeing the work you've been putting in here over the past few weeks, like editing and getting rid of vandalism. I think you're doing a great job, and SFH suggested it before. We need some good people as admins here, and I think you're a good choice. Your thoughts? Shawn (talk) 17:39, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Oh, thank you! I think I can do with some help here as much as I can. ^^ --TX55TALK 01:04, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
And you're an admin! Congratulations! Yoy may need to re-log in to see the change. If you need a hand with anything else, please let me know. Shawn (talk) 16:53, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
I got it. Thank you very much! ;-D --TX55TALK 22:52, 13 October 2008 (UTC) Edit

This user continues to add nonsense and fanon after several warnings. You should probably just block him. -- SFH 19:52, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Done. Just woke up, thanks for noticing. ;-D --TX55TALK 22:38, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

"Rock and Roll-Out!"Edit

Yo what does your name mean? I think that I saw it on the Gundum show once but I am not sure. Anyway if you have time check out my user page, and reply on my talk page if you would like to talk more. Jetblast 16:15, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Featured ArticlesEdit

I posted on the Rorza, the Rocket-cycle Racer from Rigel III talk page asking why it was a featured article. I was not the only person questioning that. No one else answered. So I un-featured it. So, why are you reverting my edits? Why not post to the talk page there about why an article with 5 sentences is considered 'one of the most informative on the wiki.' I'd really like to know. StarfishLover 23:12, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

I didn't notice the message before. I just reply in the article's talk page. --TX55TALK 00:56, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Help me turn articles into featured articles. Here are some examples in sort of random order:

Spike Witwicky

Grimlock (G1)

The Transformers (toyline)

Sentinel Prime (Animated)

Beast Wars (Part 1)

Optimus Prime (G1).

They all seem rather easy to turn into featured articles when compared to MANY others like say, T-AI or Transtech. Deceptibot747 18:35, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for featuring the G1 Optimus arcticle. Grimlock still needs some comic book pictures and Universe fiction. So It still does not qualify as "featured".Deceptibot747 16:35, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Is there any rule that episodes or comic stories cannot be featured articles? If there isn't, I think that Robo-Capers issue 74 might qualify.Deceptibot747 10:17, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

You can make an article a featured article by placing {{featured}}. ^^ But, IIRC, not every article contains detail contents is a featured article, since it may still needed something. Take examples:
  • Grimlock (G1) - The toy section still needs some work, unless we separate it into another article. If so, I think the original page could be a featured article.
  • Sentinel Prime (Animated) - The franchise is still new and on going. (Something like that, I'm not sure how to describe it.)
--TX55TALK 02:54, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Do you think hasbro allows fan made transformers? Such as using my name for an online game or using your own name for a story? Jetblast 16:40, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Maybe not or maybe okay, I don't know. :) --TX55TALK 00:41, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Also does Hasbro allow fanon under a Fair Use policy? I tend to get worried about this kind of stuff. 17:22, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry. I am not sure what did you metion. Do you have specific exaples? ^^ --TX55TALK 00:39, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Concerning not posting unofficial upgrades. I posted two items in relation to G1 Ironhide and Ratchet and it was rejected. No problem but Ultra Magnus' wiki included the "City Commander" upgrade set which is also an unofficial product.
Thanks for noticing. Last time I just deleted the image because I missed the words. --TX55TALK 03:29, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. Edit

Thanks for the welcome, although I have a question I'm not sure if you can answer, I've seen it says there was a Season 5 in Generation 1, and I'm wondering why? CoolJ7 06:09, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

You're welcome. :-D
The so-called season 5 is just a rerun show featuring 15 episodes from the previous seasons and 3 episodes (by "breaking" The Movie). They were aired through the lates 80s, but I don't know when. This is all I know. ;-D --TX55TALK 07:17, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, again I was really confused on that. CoolJ7 19:32, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

You are welcome. ^^ --TX55TALK 04:57, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Murdered puppy Edit

Why is this article shown on the Main Page as a featured article while it's not in the featured articles category? I'm asking you because your a sysop. Just edit the Main Page if ou think you should.Deceptibot747 17:51, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for notice, I just added the {{featured}} template. ;-D --TX55TALK 01:00, 2008 December 19 (UTC)

Questions Edit

I want to ask about a few things:

What the slag is the Transformers wiki on The articles there are VERY similar to the ones here, even the captions. But sometimes they have more info.

If I find information on fictional appearences on other websites, should I put that as a reference? Such as if I never seen the episode/comic and that website is my source of info. Deceptibot747 16:51, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

re your first point, the situation is like when you make a site on geocities, but then you lose your password, so you put the site up on a new domain, but the geocities site is still there and you can't take it down. -- 23:30, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Not exactly. Actually, for a while there was only the Transformers Wiki on Wikia, but many of the changes to Wikia's systems were viewed as negative by a majority of the community. So, they were able to gain a copy of the original Wikia wiki's data and formed a new, independent wiki. Meanwhile, Wikia kept all of the original information from the wiki and made their formatting changes. As such, much of the information between the two wikis are similar, but as time goes on, this should change...hopefully. -- 05:01, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
What were those changes?Deceptibot747 07:13, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

1. The changes are about the ads. The ads caused some problems — mainly screw up the layout of every page, though the problems were fixed later. However, the problems still occur in some wikia database. Teletraan I is one of them. And then some users were "not happy" (including me), thus the emerges. For more detail, please visit here and there.

2. If so/In that case, IMO, I suggest using {{storylink|episode or issue name}} would be better. But be sure it is correct before you edit. ;-D

--TX55TALK 15:30, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion Edit

I tagged the Animated waspinator article for speedy deletion because there's already the one entitled Wasp and it's name was in the wrong format. It was -franchise- -name- instead of the -name- (-franchise-) format that's used. Also it sometimes didn't use capital letters when necessary. Please delete it.Deceptibot747 07:15, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

I just come back to my computer. I've notice it before I go out in the morning. I'll delete it as soon as possible. :) --TX55TALK 15:33, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, I removed the link from my above message because I'm afrai it would end up on the wanted pages section and people might start it again.Deceptibot747 11:25, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

New Animated characters that might not be confirmed Edit

Someone wrote articles entitled Hot Shot (Animated) and Wheeljack (Animated). I think those articles should be deleted unless their confirmed. If you're wondering, that someone is Gringo949494. But I couldn't go to their user page. It says that it doesn't exist.Deceptibot747 17:58, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Actually, both characters are officially comfirmed. ^^ --TX55TALK 02:55, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Someone needs to get on the Animated Blackout and Strika articles, those two are also confirmed! --Primus1101 22:51, December 28 2008 (UTC)
