  • I made a request to staff to close w:c:RescueBots and move w:c:TransformersRescueBots there, but do you think perhaps the TRB project should just be imported here?

I was thinking it might be nice to have a standalone for adding new content about Rescue Bots Academy since it's a direct sequel to RB and wouldn't need a separate wiki (although w:c:RBA apparently just freed up) but do you think adding all content pertaining to it here would be welcome?

How To Train Your Scraplets and Helicopter Heroes just debuted Sunday 16 Aug 2020 on Treehouse for example but I don't know if I could make articles about broadcast stations to list those dates.

    • I think it's best to have everything about Transformers on one wiki, including Rescue Bots. Last year we merged several duplicate wikis into this one, most prominently Transformers Prime Wiki. FANDOM now also discourages duplicate wikis more than ever before and even some comparatively successful duplicate wikis still are not active and large enough. You are free to create articles about Rescue Bots Academy.

    • I sometimes wonder about "multiverse theory" like we've seen approached in TMNT or the Arrowverse/JLfilm

Do you know if Transformers realities are ever given designations like Earth-616 / Earth-2 etc?

Maybe not 'earth' though since we have stuff taking place primarily in Cybertron like the end of Cyberverse.

        Loading editor
    • From what I know there are several universal clusters such as Primax 094.0 Gamma for the many different continunities. I don't think that there is something like Earth-616.

  • as bureaucrat please intervene. while i was improving character lists for "avatar" an admin at fandom BLOCKED me kuz he did not like my username (see quote below). i could not even reply that "any user name is valid" and that in the past i spoke via phone with fandom staff when people were reverting "undo" my contributions, which were not filthy words nor vandalism. i asked about my username and they said any username is valid "hate clinton or love clinton" for example. please help me to appeal the blocking and assist me to appeal this censoring at https://20thcenturystudios.fandom.com/wiki/User:NoCircumciseBaby quote "This user is currently blocked. The latest block log entry is provided below for reference: 05:04, 2020 August 6 Kh122201 (wall | contribs) blocked NoCircumciseBaby (wall | contribs) with an expiry time of infinite () (Unacceptable username)" in his opinion unacceptable, however such admins must change demoted to my "level of free speech only adding their opinions" and losing power to censor.

    • in fact as i wrote this request somebody switched off my internet and i had to restart my computer. censorship is awful.

    • I agree that your block wasn't fair as allusions to circumcision don't qualify as unacceptable username. Unacceptable usernames are mostly containing hatred against minorities, glorifying war, insults or impersonations of other users. As well I see that the admin who blocked you doesn't have bureaucrat powers, isn't that long on the wiki and also is blocked on Disney Wiki, which makes it look like he isn't a very serious user. Perhaps you can complain to the bureaucrats on the wiki where you are blocked, as they are his superiors. As well you can gather support for your case on Community Central. However, involving other wikis and their users into your dispute is not a good idea.

  • Hey Moviejunkie!

I just wanted to check in with you since the new Transformers: War for Cybertron series was just released a couple of days ago.

What do you think about the series so far?

We've assigned a CTM to this wiki for the time being to help y'all get the wiki caught up. It looks like that's going well but I'd like to get a bit of feedback from you. Do you think the extra help has been beneficial? How do you think we could improve?

      Loading editor
    • I haven't seen it as of now, but I'm planning on doing so. I think assigning a CTM is a great idea to improve this wiki in terms of articles and activity

  • How come it’s so low? Is it because of the main transformers wiki? Because that one is very active. It has like so many pages that if we combine with wikis we would have a Waam score of like 10. So is there a way to up our game?

    • Back in 2008, following the introduction of the Monaco skin this wiki was forked to an independent platform, which marks the beginnings of TFWiki. Almost all editors of that time quit editing this wiki and continued on the independent one. That almost all users left is the main reason why this wiki still has problems with activity to this day. It was also at a time Wikia/FANDOM wasn't as powerful as today, so it was easier to successfully set up independent wikis. The only really successful fork in recent years was the one of the Runescape Wiki, but just because almost all users decided to leave the wiki like in the case with the Transformers community. Meanwhile the forks of Wikizilla, Bakugan and Yu-Gi-Oh Wiki were rather moderately successful as there are still enough users who edit the FANDOM wiki and often more than who edit the fork. A merger with TFWiki is not feasible at all, as it is on a different platform. Wikia will never close this wiki as it is still among the thousand wikis with the most traffic. On the other hand, the users on TFWiki also don't want to give up their wiki to return to a platform they left around twelve years ago. Furthermore Transformers is a very huge fandom, which generates enough activity to pay the bills for hosting. There are examples of self-hosted sites which became defunct, such as the B-Daman Wiki Forums, however you can't compare B-Daman to Transformers, as the latest B-Daman series ended in Japan in 2013 and Takara Tomy even has removed B-Daman from their website, what they mostly do with franchises, which were complete failures. For comparison, the site for Zoids has always been online between 2006 and 2018, without any season airing during that time. Thus the only option is to affiliate ourselves with TFWiki. There are some wikis which have branches elsewhere such as Yo-kai Watch Wiki and All the Tropes on Miraheze. We could become something like the branch of TFWiki on FANDOM as well.

    • Wow that’s a very Good point. This wiki has died ever since then since fandom wasn’t as big before. Ofc all the editors like 95% left this wiki because they all needed to work on the main tfwiki which got millions of edits, hundreds of thousands of pages and many many files. I also agree that transformers is a huge fanbase almost as big as Marvel, Dc and Star Wars because it stretches out too G.I. joe, MLP, and all the Japanese shows you told me about. Yes they will never close it cause of how popular it is. Since we got thousands of pages here still because basically 5% of editors are still here and are still trying too make this wiki active.

  • What's crackin', I'm Kevin, a member of Fandom's Content Team. I've been assigned to this community to assist with adding content leading up to and following the release of Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy: Siege. I figured I should introduce myself in case you have any specific requests or need assistance in a particular area. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to let me know.

Edit: I've created a page for the upcoming series (Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy: Siege) though I'm not sure how you wanted to approach character pages; If content is to be added to pre-existing character pages or if this is a completely separate continuity and you want separate pages created for each character.

    • Figured I'd keep you updated on my progress. I've created all the episode pages and filled them out with character appearances and episode plots. I also updated each individual character page with summaries from the series. And I just finished creating all the cast members pages. With that said, I should be wrapping up around here pretty soon and closing this assignment out.

  • Hello, I absolutely love how you have the blue neon lights going around the infobox and the other boxes plus the glow around the main body. I started my own wiki and I was hoping I could get someone to help teach me about crafting my own CSS. If that is too much trouble maybe just help with how I get the glow like y'all have it. Love the wiki and would welcome any help, thank you

  • Why is it so low? I seen wikis with 1000 pages get up to rank 30 while we have thousands of pages, yet we are rank 761. Why is that true?

    • The number of content pages doesn't matter for the WAM Score. Most of the pages on this wiki were created between the years 2005 and 2008, before the fork has happened. The current activity is far more important. The more edits, posts and views have occurred on a specific day the higher the WAM Score is.

    • I don't completely oppose any fan-made content on a canon wiki. However, it should only be posted in the userspace or at best in the project namespace, in order to clearly distinguish it from canon articles.
