Mengel deals in rare and exotic equipment and goods. She isn't a very social type, but she has connections and has some extremely rare and valuable items that are for sale...for the right price.

She's apparently an associate of Agonizer, who doesn't have very good things to say about her or her race.

Fiction[]

2005 IDW continuity[]

Mengel settled in Troja Major's Howling Town and eventually became aligned with the mysterious Grand Architect. Her colleague Wipe-Out had a low opinion of her, unflatteringly comparing her to Starscream. Chasing the Infinite

Under undivulged circumstances, Mengel came into possession of the Magnificence and used its vast stores of knowledge to genetically engineer an "Infinite" eventually contacting and delivering it to Flame. Chasing the Infinite On the side, she used the artifact to learn how to revive the dead and marketed it off as the "Resus Cradle". In late 2017, she was approached by Nautica for usage of the miraculous artifact to revive her friend Skids. An Axe to Break the Ice After convincing Nautica to sell her grief for Skids and friendship with Velocity, Mengel was called away by Flame who demanded the Cradle. Though the Catharsian attempted to bluff her way out of the tight spot, Flame saw through the ruse and ordered the compound ransacked, eventually reclaiming the Magnificence. Chasing the Infinite

Fearing for her life, Mengel fled to Agonizer with the two comparing notes on the Magnificence. As Agonizer realized the Cybertronian heritage behind the relic, Mengel was targeted by the Black Block Consortia who messily ended her. The Ties That Bind

Notes[]

  • Mengel's name is derived from that of Josef Mengele, real-life progenitor of the ubiquitous "Nazi mad scientist" trope.
