This article is about the Unicron-allied Mini-Con. For distribution company, see Maverick Entertainment.

Maverick is a Unicron-allied Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Maverick is a member of the Aerial Extermination Mini-Con Team, and a personal attendant to Nemesis Prime. Staunchly loyal to Unicron's goals, this assassin strikes silently and unseen, like a ninja in the night. Unfortunately, while he absolutely despises his teammates, he can't do anything to them, so he suffers in solitary silence. [1]

Presumably, he also hates Mega Man X, and could own you if he were to fly his own alt mode.

Japanese name: Shade

Air Assault Micron (Mini-Con pack, 2003)
Japanese ID number: MM-17
Maverick/Shade is a redeco of the Air Defense Mini-Con Team member Sonar, transforming into a VentureStar concept shuttle. He also forms the hilt to the Dark Saber sword, which can be held by any other Transformer that has 5mm fist-holes. This toy is largely identical to the Hasbro "Air Assault" version of Sonar, but uses transparent plastic with a hint of purple instead of the Hasbro version's opaque off-white. He came with his partners Jackknife and Skull Buster.

This mold was also retooled to make Energon Skyboom, Lens, and Cybertron Mini-Con Ramjet.
  • Rampage & Hawk w/ Air Assault Micron (Multi-pack, 2003)
Japanese ID number: MS-08
The Air Assault Mini-Cons were also made available in a multi-pack with the Takara release of Wheeljack and Wind Sheer.
