The Insecticon
- Insecticons are Decepticons from the live-action movie continuity family.
The Insecticons are robotic insects, capable of implanting cerebro-strips into the heads of victims; this allows the Insecticon's master to mentally manipulate and control the victims remotely. Some are capable of flight, while others can merge into one larger being. Whether the Insecticons are sentient or merely a drone race is unknown.
Robot insects that brainwash people; where'd they get a weird idea like that from, eh?

While Megatron was in charge, Starscream quietly had his Insecticons implant cerebro-strips in multiple humans, all for the day when he would gain command. Shockingly, that day actually arrived, and Starscream now has an army of potential human servants, including the 44th President of the United States. He stated this was all "courtesy of my Insecticons!", but as the room was empty at the time, it is unknown to whom he was talking.

Revenge of the Fallen film
Edit
Two (fly-like) Insecticons were shown flying in another Insecticon to the Doctor, which he used to extract information about the Matrix out of Sam's brain by shoving it in his mouth and through his nose. Then after getting said info he (uninterested at the bug any more) tossed the poor centipede-like Insecticon over his tiny, little shoulder, onto the floor.
During the final battle in Egypt, yet another fly-like Insecticon, crawls into Sam and Mikaela's hiding place. Sam kills it by ripping it half, but its death alerts the rest of the other Decepticons of their whereabouts. Revenge of the Fallen
