Impound was present with the Security Administration and Freelance Police Legion forces who came to the rescue of the GoBotsin the Heap. Commander Cheetor instructed him and Blastcharge to take General Demolishor into custody for aggravated assault. Withered Hope

Impound was a good-natured security bot hired on by Dynamic Energon Distilleries in Iacon. After Scorponok bumbled onto a pair of thieves and inadvertently alerted Impound to their crime, Impound became friendly with the data clerk. Unfortunately, Impound was oblivious when Scorponok and Administrator Gnashteeth began pilfering extra energon from the Distilleries to sell for themselves.
When the plant went into meltdown status, Impound found Scorponok and tried to evacuate the little bot, unaware that he had started the reactors overheating in the first place. Scorponok was trying to finish the coding necessary to stabilize the reactors long enough for his stolen energon to be carried away. Impound thought he was trying to be a hero, and slung Scorponok into a firebot's carry to get him to safety. Scorponok was forced to shoot Impound in the back in order to complete his mission.
