This article is about the Decepticon Godmaster. For the Beast Wars Neo Predacon, see Hydra (BWN).

Hydra is a human and Decepticon Godmaster in the Masterforce portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Hydraandbuster robots

Joined at the hip, probably literally.

Hydra is a human who joined the Decepticons as Godmaster with his younger brother, Buster. They've got this kinda creepy-sexual thing going on. And they're never apart.

Fiction

In the cartoon, Hydra was an actor in East Germany before becoming a Godmaster, making him good at disguise. His on-package bio, however, states that he was an assassin.

Hydra and Buster's Transtectors can combine into Darkwings. Darkwings' maximum speed can reach Mach 30. Darkwings can perform "Chokon Wing Thunder Hurricane" by using Chokon Power. After Hydra and Buster becoming robotic beings, Darkwings is able to perform "Mach X Flight". According to Transformers Generations, Hydra and Buster accidentally discovered the combined form during a brawl.

Masterforce cartoon

Voice Actors: Ken Yamaguchi (Japan)

Hydra and Buster found their Godmaster transtectors in America, already in the form of airplanes.

They have near-instant healing abilities, literally in the blink of an eye. This healing seems to be more vulnerable to physical weapons than to energy -- when Diver's axe was stuck in Buster's arm, the wound wasn't able to heal around it, and Buster remained in pain even after it was removed. (Perhaps attempting to heal around the wound screwed stuff up?) -->

You will be whole again. I promise.
I cannot remain in this unacceptable operational status!
