Of all of Deathsaurus's warriors, Hellbat is by far the most underhanded and maniacal. He lusts for power of any kind. This desire is apparent to nearly all of his fellow Decepticons, Deathsaurus included. He is despised and distrusted by the others, especially Leozack. He will go to any length to preserve his role among the Decepticons.
Pity, then, that he's kind of a schmuck.
In robot mode, he has one of the most useful special attacks among all the other Decepticons: by chanting "Hypnotism, Sleep, Hibernation" he can weaken and then influence his opponents to do his bidding. His breastplate can transform into a bat-like attack partner Kōmoribreast.
He can combine with his fellow Breastforce warriors to form Liokaiser.

Hellbat without Kōmoribreast
Hellbat attacked the Energy Resource Research and Development Laboratory and hypnotized a staff member before retrieving info, whoever the unknown staff member already triggered an alarm. Later he met up with the other Breastforce members after defeating two Autobot guards. After the gathering they went to directly attack the laboratory only to be stopped by the Brainmasters. He tried to hypnotize Blacker but Blacker found a way to avoid it. However Hellbat deployed Kōmoribreast and told him to suck Blacker’s Energon with his tongue. Hellbat later hypnotized Star Saber as he let Leozack kill Star Saber in the process. However Braver used the new tracker to give the Breastforce a headache as the Decepticons retreated. Hellbat later saw Leozack get punished by Deathsaurus with Braver’s stolen tracker. The New Warrior - Hellbat, The Breastforce were reluctant about Hellbat joining the team. Hellbat later told Deathsaurus about the Shuttle Base energy loading schedule. Leozack was later sent to go steal the energy with Leozack. However the Multiforce members, Dash, Tacker, Mach, and Tackle are escorting the shuttle unexpectedly. Leozack and Hellbat later fired shots at them. However the 4 Autobot members combined into Dashtacker and Machtackle. Later Drillhorn and Killbison came and fired shots at the two Autobots. Later Leozack found out that the controls are locked. Hellbat suggested him to put the energy in containers and take it to Deathsaurus himself. Hellbat later got shot into a pit while Leozack lost the container in a fight with Star Saber so Hellbat blamed everything on Leozack as he fell deeper into the pit. , Attack the Shuttle Base!!, Tanker Hijack Operation Hellbat was supposed to help on a tanker energy theft operation but didn’t participate and snuck in the Autobot Base instead and tried to look at the databanks to find out about the Brainmasters however he accidentally triggered the alarm so he quickly got away and got chased by Galaxy Shuttle but managed to get into a vent and kidnapped Jan and Holi. He made a deal with the Dinoforce for them to guard the prisoners while he tests a disk he snatched at Autobot Base. Gōryū however almost caught Hellbat and when Karkuryū was checking the cameras Jan and Holi painted a fake error screen on a piece of paper and held it at the camera’s lenses. Karkuryū later told Hellbat they escaped. Gōryū tried to hit Jan and Holi off a pile, Hellbat quickly told Gōryū not to kill the prisoners. However Gōryū pretended that he didn’t hear him. Hellbat later blamed everything on Leozack and Gōryū and played the stolen disk for Deathsaurus which showed some math, Star Saber, Jan shooting Deathsaurus himself, and a party face infant. Deathsaurus yelled at Hellbat for this. Rescue Jean!! Hellbat was with the Breastforce in a secret energy storage base in attempt for another energy theft operation. Hellbat later chased Mach but collided a tree and was knocked unconscious. Mach and Tackle, A Fierce Battle!! The Asteroid.

Hellbat started paying Black Shadow and Blue Bacchus to help steal energy on Planet Micro. Hellbat appears of the planet Micro together of the Black Shadow and Blue Bacchus and attacked the planet and started stealing energy from the new and largest energy plant. Later Star Saber and Greatshot came and fought them. Greatshot defeated Black Shadow and Blue Bacchus while Star Saber cornered Hellbat. Hellbat set the energy tank on fire and retreated as he argued with Black Shadow and Blue Bacchus about giving them a pay raise. Planet Micro - The Mysterious Warrior
Hellbat he talk Leozack for his idea to free Guyhawk, later after they killed Satellite Penitentiary personnel were attacked of Star Saber and he said Leozack to go rescue thim Gaihawk. As he soon freed Satellite Penitentiary inmates and told them to attack the Autobots and later Hellbat worried about freeing Guyhawk since he might take his place. Guyhawk was in front of Hellbat when he was complaining. Hellbat greeted Guyhawk with hugs and kisses as Guyhawk angrily tossed Hellbat on the floor. Hellbat later took Guyhawk to the energy room and to free Hawkbreast. Later Greatshot and Holi came as Guyhawk got in a fight with Greatshot. Hellbat later ran away as the energy chamber started to go uneasy. Later Hellbat ran out of the building screaming with his butt on fire. He later told the other Breastforce members that Guyhawk is fighting Greatshot. Later all the Breastforce members including Guyhawk escaped. Rescue! Gaihawk

Hellbat got suspicious that he is not in the meeting with the others and turned on the speakers and found out he will get replaced by Deathcobra. He begged Deathcobra to leave so that he wouldn't be kicked out of Liokaiser. Then he shot him. Deathcobra attacked him, sending the pitiful Hellbat scrabling for his life. Hellbat amazingly won, firing through Deathcobra's chest while curled in the fetal position behind a boulder and firing blindly for his life. In an odd twist, this murder actually secured him a position in the Breastforce and part of Liokaiser. Probably the luckiest day of his life. Unite! Liokaiser, Assemble! - Released only in Japan, Hellbat transforms into a black and white Dassault Rafale fighter jet. He can combine with his fellow Breastforce members, forming the left arm of Liokaiser. He also came with his breastplate/weapon/beast partner Kōmoribreast.
