Go-toy Go

Go (ゴウ ) assists the Autobot Go Prime in his quest to vanquish the Predacons threatening Japan.

Toys[]

Go![]

  • Go (Promotional Arms Micron, 2013-11)
A redeco of Jigu, Go transforms from a robotic shark into a gun resembling Dreadwing's blaster cannon. As part of the Arms Micron gimmick, Go features numerous 5mm peg-holes and pegs, allowing him to combine with other Microns to form bigger and more ridiculous "Combo Weapons" and "Super Combo Weapons". He is specifically meant to combine, however, with Sen, Ex, Geki, and Shou to form the Gojōgōdenjin great sword, the Gojōgekidohō cannon, the Gojōharyūtsui hammer, and the Yonjōnagamitsu nagamitsu. Go comes out of the package as a bunch of unpainted parts on runners, like a model kit. Unlike the Arms Microns from the Japanese Prime toyline, he has a tampographed Autobot symbol on his Energon crystal, rather than a sticker beneath it.
Go was only available with the purchase of more than 3000 yen worth of Transformers: Go! toys at a small and somewhat random selection of stores. Confusion at these stores regarding his release date resulted in him trickling out into the wild starting sometime in late October or early November. Given the promotion he was a part of, and the fact that Takara-Tomy's website lists his release date as being the same as Ex, Geki, and Shou (all "middle of November"), it's likely that he was intended for release on November 16th. His unpredictable and small release, however, made him (at least initially) the most difficult to obtain of the five.

Notes[]

  • While it's not made explicit that Go is designed to go with Go Prime, we can infer that fact from his color (green, a color prominently used Go Prime), his name ("Go", from "Go Prime") and the fact that other Autobot Arms Microns from Transformers: Prime had names based off their primary users.
