Japanese name: Wheelrun
Marvel Comics continuityEdit
Freewheeler was one of the first Micromasters serving under Emirate Xaaron on Cybertron. When Roadhandler led most of the Autobot Micromasters on a mission to destroy the Battle Patrol before Thunderwing could use them to create Decepticon Micromasters, Freewheeler went along with rescuing them instead.
Freewheeler, along with the rest of the Race Car Patrol and the Off Road Patrol, travelled to Earth when Optimus Prime requested reinforcements. Investigating monster sightings believed to be linked to the Decepticons, they stumbled across a plan to harness the power of an electrical storm, destroying a city in the process. Teaming up with Cecilia Santiago, the Race Car Patrol managed to defeat Iguanus and disperse the storm. Acting independently from the Earth-based Autobots as crime fighters, Freewheeler acted as Roadhandler's bodyguard when he took part in a wrestling match with Jake "The Jackhammer" Jackson. After their actions left a group of humans in danger from the Air Strike Patrol, the group decided to abandon their plan to improve relations with the humans.
Freewheeler and the rest of the Race Car Patrol accompanied Optimus Prime to a meeting with Chainclaw, a courier from Cybertron. The meeting was disrupted by Doubledealer, who made off with a load of energon after manoeuvring the Autobots into fighting Scorponok's Decepticons instead of him.
