"I love technology, but there's something to be said for old-fashioned brutality."
―Fracture in Battlegrounds, Part 1.

Fracture is a Decepticon bounty hunter. He is a tricky and deceptive hunter, who takes pleasure in tricking his foes and hunting them. He is backed up by his two Mini-Cons named Airazor and Divebomb, who transform into shoulder pads on Fracture's shoulders and can launch like missiles.

History[]

Robots in Disguise[]

Season 1[]

In Hunting Season, Fracture headed to Earth to pick up the bounty on Bumblebee, however Drift had the same idea, and the pair tangled at a deserted ranch. Fracture managed to get Drift on the ropes until Bumblebee and his team joined the fight, forcing Fracture and his Mini-Cons to retreat. Using micro-drones to spy on the Autobots, Fracture was able to set a series of traps in the scrapyard, enabling him to capture Grimlock and Strongarm with his set of traps by his devices. Fracture faced Sideswipe and Denny, where he zapped Sideswipe unconscious and told his Mini-Cons to capture Denny. Fracture attempted to use the Autobots and Denny to bargain for Bumblebee, but instead ended up fighting Drift again. Though he defeated Drift again, Slipstream and Jetstorm hijacked his ship, freeing the hostages on board and leaving him to escape with his Mini-cons. Fixit found out that Fracture's Groundbridge was salvageable after his ship crashed in the scrapyard.

In Sideways, Fracture took on an Earth mode and joined Steeljaw's gang sometime after the events in Hunting Season. An encounter with Clampdown led the gang to confront the Autobots. Fracture fought Sideswipe and he was soon, embarrassingly, defeated by him. Steeljaw later managed to free the Decepticons from their cuffs and they returned to their hideout. Fracture asked if they could trust Clampdown and Steeljaw ensured that if Clampdown does betray them, Steeljaw will not rest until he made Clampdown eat his own claws.

In Lockout, Fracture took part in a plan to take over the Autobots' scrapyard. It was briefly successful, with the Autobots being kept out using a subsonic field, but once they got back in, Fracture tried to face them with the other Decepticons. He squared off against Drift successfully until Drift was joined by the other Autobots, who had defeated the rest of the Decepticon team. Defeated, Fracture later had to flee back to the hideout with the other Decepticons, where they were all scolded at by Steeljaw for their incompetence. Steeljaw threw some stuff at them and they were forced to leave Steeljaw alone.

In Battlegrounds, Part 1, Fracture helped Thunderhoof and Underbite capture Strongarm and Sideswipe, and he and his Mini-Cons were then dispatched to the Scrapyard to capture Fixit. After observing a conversation between Russell Clay and his friend Hank, Fracture employed a scheme that involved some research into Earth culture and employing a holographic field to disguise Airazor as Russell's friend. They thus managed to get into the Scrapyard and had the Clays and Fixit cornered, but were defeated by the timely arrival of Optimus Prime. All three were promptly confined in Stasis Cells, and later joined by all their comrades except Steeljaw.

Season 2[]

As revealed in Metal Meltdown, Fracture had left behind a piece of himself that fell off in the skirmish during the events of Lockout, in which Russell collected the piece for his display case.

Relationships[]

Allies[]

Steeljaw[]

Fracture joined Steeljaw's Pack sometime after the events of Hunting Season. It is assumed Steeljaw trusts Fracture and Fracture trusts Steeljaw. In Sideways, Steeljaw introduced Clampdown to Fracture and Underbite, until Thunderhoof chased Clampdown which resulted in a confrontation with the Autobots. Steeljaw freed his fellow Decepticons and officially made Clampdown a member. Fracture questioned Steeljaw if Clampdown would ever betray them and Steeljaw ensured that if that happens, he would not rest until he made Clampdown eat his own claws. In Lockout, Fracture went with Steeljaw and the other Decepticons to take over the scrapyard. Their plan of setting the imprisoned Decepticons in stasis pods were soon foiled by the Autobots and Steeljaw escaped with his pack back to their hideout where he scolded them and told them to leave him alone. In Battlegrounds, Part 1, Steeljaw ordered Fracture to distract the Autobots, which he does so.

Thunderhoof[]

Fracture met Thunderhoof after the former joined Steeljaw's Pack. They are never seen interacting, but it is assumed they have a stable relationship.

Underbite[]

Fracture met Underbite after the former joined Steeljaw's Pack. In Sideways, Fracture and Underbite are together when Steeljaw introduces them to Clampdown. The two glance at each other upon Clampdown nervously greeting them.

Clampdown[]

Fracture met Clampdown when the latter joined Steeljaw's Pack. They are never seen interacting. After hearing about Thunderhoof and Clampdown's history, Fracture asks Steeljaw what they'll do to Clampdown if he ends up betraying them, showing that he may have distrusts in Clampdown.

Enemies[]

Drift[]

Drift vs

Fracture seems to dislike Drift the most. When Drift took the bounty on Bumblebee, Fracture vowed to take it himself and place Drift in his grave. Fracture was close to killing his enemy but was prevented by the other Autobots who saved Drift. In Lockout, Fracture fought Drift again and told Drift he could never beat him alone. Drift stated it was fortunate he was not as the other Autobots came to help him with Fracture. Drift deeply dislikes Fracture's actions and sees him a dishonorable adversary.

Bumblebee[]

Fracture desired the bounty on Bumblebee, even with Drift who decided to not collect it. Fracture was able to secure Bumblebee's team and Denny in his ship in exchange for Bumblebee to surrender. Bumblebee was not going to and was swiftly taken out by Fracture. However, Bumblebee regained conscious and punched Fracture from blowing up his ship with Drift's mini-cons in it.

Sideswipe[]

Sideswipe tried to take on Fracture but was zapped by him and was used as ransom along with Strongarm, Grimlock, and Denny by Fracture. Sideswipe managed to escape his ship with the others and backed up Drift. In Sideways, Fracture faced off against Sideswipe and told him he was out of his league. Sideswipe responded by stating he learned from Fracture, which meant to play dirty as he placed a tire on Fracture's hand sword and quickly dispatched him. In Lockout, Sideswipe backed up Drift in fighting Fracture. Sideswipe and Fracture seem to have hero to hunter relationship similar to Optimus Prime and Lockdown in Transformers: Age of Extinction.
