Dreadbot is a character introduced in the Transformers: The Last Knight movie.
Personality & Character[]
The monstrous hooligan known as Dreadbot is a tough, destructive thug who's hard to control and even harder to kill. It seems a little weird that he transforms into such a stereotypical symbol of peace and love, but maybe he's just got a sense of humor—check out those Christmas lights.
History[]
Incarcerated for a bank robbery after leaving nine dead and the money untouched(likely because the government caught him before he could do anything else). His massive frame slices through walls and defends himself against virtually all known ammunition. Wields a distinctive, Cybertronian firearm that obliterates its target.
He was one of the Decepticons whose release was negotiated by Megatron to help him hunt down Cade Yeager. The humans at first denied his release due to his crimes, but Megatron's threat of violence convinced them to reconsider and free him, provided he was fitted with a GPS tracking device. He followed his leader to Yeager's scrap yard, and then to a nearby town, but they were met with some not-quite-unexpected resistance in the form of the Autobots Bumblebee, Drift, and Crosshairs. During the ensuing fight, Grimlock arrived on the scene and began thrashing Megatron around. As a reward for running in to help his leader, Dreadbot found himself getting eaten by Grimlock.

Notes & Trivia[]
- Dreadbot reuses Crowbar's robot-mode model with modifications (like the aforementioned Christmas lights wrapped around his upper right arm).
- Probably related to the above, set reports from the film identified him as "Hooligan", the name found on Crowbar's concept art from Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
- His rusty old Volkswagen Microbus altmode was one of the first vehicles spotted on set.
