Dr. Binder used to be such a mellow guy. A dentist at the Broca Medical Complex in Springfield, he had the utmost concern for his patients and their suffering. Sure he dabbled in genetics on the side, but who doesn't? As a means to ending the pain his profession caused patients, he created a machine that would block the ability of the brain to sense it. Unwilling to test it on anyone else, he hooked it up to his own impressively bald cranium. The trauma for the device caused a radical personality shift and a disdain for wearing shirts. Now he was Dr. Mindbender, Cobra genius.
His greatest claim to fame is creating Serpentor. Thanks for nothing.

G.I. Joe featuring Snake-EyesEdit
At the time Megatron was forming his brief alliance with Cobra, Dr. Mindbender was dead, but Cobra was using Mindbender's own technology to clone a new doctor. Megatron's sensors detected Mindbender's heart had re-started. Upon his return to life, the doctor was shocked at the appearance of Michael Jackson and that a Democrat was President. He was also mildly disappointed that Cheers had ended, and who can blame him for that?
