Doctor Fujiyama the Famous Scientist is a human from the Generation One continuity family.

"Giant ninja robot? What could go wrong?"

Dr. Fujiyama (the Famous Scientist!) builds robots. Ninja robots. Giant ninja robots. Giant female ninja robots.

He's no Bruce Sato.

Japanese name: Dr. Hamada (see note)

The Transformers cartoon continuity

Voice Actor: Michael Bell (US), Keiichi Nanba (Japan)

Doctor Fujiyama, who reportedly is a man of some renown in the scientific world, built a ninja robot. Her name was Nightbird, and her purpose was to benefit mankind. However, the Decepticons stole her and reprogrammed her to be evil, so he locked her away for humanity's protection. Enter the Nightbird

3H Universe comics

Decades later, he built an army of them, and for some reason, that didn't go well either. Daniel Witwicky detonated an explosive device to destroy them, killing himself and Wheelie in the process. Universe: The Wreckers

He's not a quick learner, and no longer looks Japanese.

  • In the script for "Enter the Nightbird", Dr. Fujiyama the Famous Scientist's last name is consistently spelled "Fujiama," omitting the "y". However, as Fujiyama is (obsolete) Japanese for "Mt. Fuji", it is possible that the episode writer did not know the proper spelling of the word. His name is written as "Fujiyama" in the Wreckers comic.
  • In the Japanese dub, his name is Hamada. The translators were likely thrown by the "Fujiama" misspelling.
