- The Decepticon Mini-Cassettes are a sub-group of Decepticons (and in a single case, a Predacon) from the Generation One continuity family.
The Decepticon Mini-Cassettes, also known as Cassetticons, are Decepticons (and in one case, a Predacon) who, on Earth, transform into analog audio cassettes. They can fit into Soundwave's chest compartment, though their apparent relationship to Soundwave varies depending on continuity.
Many of the characters have communication or espionage roles. Also, many of them are redecos.
- "In the days of Megatron, Decepticons developed the art of espionage using cassette technology."

However, since Hasbro no longer assumes modern children will know what a cassette is, this mode will be interpreted as a manner of prisoner transport used by Hound.

- A 1986 Toys "R" Us Transformers: The Movie sticker book once used the term "Recordicon" in reference to Laserbeak.
- In episode 38 of Beast Wars, it was revealed that Ravage was modified to fit inside a compartment on his ship.
